    The Space:

    Sweet Sojourn is a stunning three-level beach house that blends contemporary design with coastal charm. With accent lighting, large windows that let in plenty of sunshine, and a breezy screened-in porch, this home is perfect for soaking in the salty air all day long. Located in the coveted north end of Sandbridge, and situated on a spacious waterfront lot, Sweet Sojourn provides easy access to the wide, white sandy beach just across the street. An elevator services all three levels of the home, making it convenient for everyone. You’ll also find outside access to the first and second floors, along with a spiral staircase leading to the third floor, offering a unique and fun way to move between levels. On the first floor, you’ll find a cozy family room with a large flatscreen TV, a wet bar with a full-size refrigerator, a freestanding ice maker, and a bath. The second floor opens into a spacious great room that connects seamlessly with the kitchen, which features countertop bar seating for seven. The screened-in porch, accessible via a pass-through from the kitchen, is the perfect spot for outdoor dining, equipped with a table and ceiling fan for added comfort. This floor also houses three of the five bedrooms: a king bedroom with a private bath, and two queen bedrooms that share a full bath. The third floor includes two additional bedrooms—one with two twin beds and a bunk room with two sets of twin bunks. A shared hall bath services both rooms. Overlooking the second-floor great room, the third-floor loft offers extra space and an airy feel, thanks to the home’s abundance of windows. Outside, the home’s amenities continue to impress. Enjoy two spacious tiled outdoor showers, a breezeway with two full hammocks, a grill, and two swinging hammock chairs—all illuminated by LED string lights for those relaxing evening moments. The large floating dock, complete with bench seating, is perfect for launching kayaks or simply sitting back to enjoy the view. A checkerboard table with game pieces in the backyard adds a playful touch, ideal for some fun family time. The dock, surrounded by rip-rap bordering, is also great for fishing, crabbing, or exploring the nearby canals by kayak. With high-end appliances, unique lighting throughout, and plenty of spaces to relax and reconnect, Sweet Sojourn is the perfect retreat for a memorable vacation. Amazing house and location!

We lived our stay here would absolutely book this home again! It was clean, well appointed, beautiful and modern, and the location was fantastic-just a few minutes walk to the beach! Highly recommend this property!

The home was perfect for our family Christmas gathering.With the winter temps we were limited on use of the covered screened patio but it would be great in the summer and provide additional seating for serving food. The elevator was a big plus and one of the main reasons we chose this over others. The play area on the first floor was also a big plus. We had eleven folks ranging from 5 - 78 in age and everybody had room to spread out. A chair in the master wood have been good to aid in changing clothes. Our only real complaint was low water pressure. A tankless water heater would be a plus for that many folks showering, especially in the summer.

Sweet Sojourn is Sweet!!

This was our family’s second year staying here. It’s a beautiful home, lovely furnishings, comfortable beds, outstanding outdoor space and furniture, an elevator! And what a bonus to have a wonderful yard at the beach! Plus a dock to catch a fish! It’s the perfect access point and a short walk to our new favorite beach. The neighborhood is great for an evening stroll. Truly a gem😎

Beach Home Away from Home

Just finished our vacation week at Sweet Sojourn. This is our second time staying at this house. Very nicely appointed and clean on the quiet north end of Sandbridge w/ very convenient beach access (across the street). We will hopefully be back in the future.

Fantastic for grandkids

The first floor play room was isolated enough to play time for the kids during early morning wakeups while some of the adults slept in. Great access for paddle boarding or kayaking on property as well as very close access to the beach. Kitchen was very well outfitted for cooking for large groups. Screened in porch was an added bonus for family meals outside without having to worry about the bugs in the evening. Great stay.

Weekend comfort

Elevator in house made this stress-free for our 92 year old mother. Plenty of room, comfortable beds, clean bathrooms and linens, no stress over scheduling bathroom time. Sleeps up to 12 and we had anticipated up to 10. Screened-in porch made mornings a pleasure for relaxing and enjoying the location.

Dream beach house!!

This house was perfect for me and my family. Having 3 levels of living space gave us the opportunity to spread out when we needed to, but a great space to gather together as well. The elevator made it very convenient for my elderly Mom, as well as carrying in luggage and groceries. The outdoor space here is AMAZING!!! Short walk to the beach and decent drive to stores and restaurants. Will definitely book here again!!

Distinctive VA Beach Rental

This home, situated close to the beach has many unique features and decor. We had our mother's 90th birthday celebration here and the elevator allowed her to be on all floors. The contemporary styling and quality finishes are esthetically pleasing and functional. Superior bedding, lighting controls, a chefs kitchen, outdoor living spaces and the deck on the canal are a few of the amenities that we enjoyed most during our stay. We will definitely look to book this mlhome for our next VB trip. Thank you so much! The Griffiths

This is an awesome property. The outside space is amazing! Screened in porch with more than sufficient outdoor furniture, lower level with swings and hammock! Dock with seating outback over canal. House/bedrooms are very spacious, clean and equipped with everything you need. Playroom on lower level for kids, elevator access to all floors for luggage and groceries, outdoor showers. Location is perfect, short walk thru a trail to the ocean (maybe a block at most) quiet area, close to several public beach accesses, small restaurant and convenience store. Definitely recommend this property. We had 8 people and could have slept 4 more still very comfortably!

Great stay, Loved the screen porch!

This home was a short walk to the beach with a path directly in front of the home. Plenty of bathrooms and 2 outdoor showers! Beautiful kitchen with everything you would need. The outdoor furniture was very comfortable and in great condition. The screened in porch was great for a meal or just relaxing. This home would accommodate 2 or maybe 3 families. If the downstairs room had bunk beds or a futon it would be great because it has a beautiful bath attached. We didn't have any young kids in our group, so we didn't use that room. Another great thing about this home is that all the bedrooms are spaced out for more privacy. You can park 5 cars here in the driveway as there is no on street parking. The market and pizza place is a very short drive away. Im not really into a modern style home, but I appreciated the style and decor here. I would definitely stay here again!

Great vacation house

The house is beautiful! 2 bedrooms upstairs with a shared bath, 2 bedrooms on the main level with a shared bath, the master on main has the attached bath and the other bath is downstairs. To get to the main level, you must take the elevator or you can go up the outside stairs if someone from inside has unlocked the porch and screen doors. It’s a little awkward but you get used to it and it’s totally understandable for safety. The kitchen has a basket filter coffee maker and a keurig, fyi. The extra fridge downstairs was very handy to keep our wedding flowers and then leftover wedding food in!! The screened porch was lovely to have family meals and prep stuff for the wedding. We all loved it and wished we could have had more down time to enjoy the house/canal/beach. If we were back in the area with a big group, we would rebook in a heartbeat.

Christmas House

We were there for a week at Christmas. Ages newborn to 83. So the elevator was a plus. Easy to bring luggage and supplies in. The house was true to the pictures. Very clean, washer and dryer was a plus. Very high in appliances (helpful if there were additional info. to operate )but we were able to navigate. Public access path across the street to the beach. Dock at the rear of the house . Brian (maintenance) was wonderful responded immediately even gave us his personal cell number if we needed anything. Great-grandkids love the lower level “playroom” additional fridge downstairs. House was terrific this winter. The kids even saw dolphins on their walk on the beach. Only problem was that we were there and a few of the days had extremely cold temps. The main area (high ceilings) were a bit cool for newborn and elder. We had brought throws and blankets. Each bedroom had additional covers as well. It would have been nice to use the beautiful fireplace but completely understandable why guest are not able to access. Reading lights in bedrooms (iPads) .. Everything you needed (pots/dishes/silverware provided… I brought my flip waffle iron(is about the only thing I could recommend. Great screen porch and covered grilling area with swings makes for a fabulous summer vacation spot. I think you would be pleased there any season. Thanks for the memories!
