With nearby surf breaks at La Poza and Punta Perfecta, Hideaway offers a peaceful base for mornings by the waves and unhurried afternoons back at home. Tucked into its own desert garden, it is the most secluded of Casa del Mar’s four independent suites—a private retreat for two, whether you come to surf, explore or simply slow down.

The beach is about a five-minute walk down the hill. Surfing requires experience, suitable conditions and your own equipment. Away from the waves, your private terrace and personal grill make it easy to settle into the quieter side of the East Cape.

YOUR PRIVATE SPACE

This approximately 460-sq-ft suite offers two twin beds that can be arranged as a king, an en-suite bathroom, a fully equipped kitchenette and a four-seat work/dining table. Air conditioning, Starlink Wi-Fi and a smart TV provide everyday comforts.

Outside, your private garden terrace is a sheltered spot for morning coffee, an afternoon with a book or a relaxed dinner under the stars. Hideaway’s outlook is garden and desert; the sweeping sea views await in Casa del Mar’s shared outdoor spaces.

POOL, JACUZZI & SHARED SPACES

Your suite, garden terrace and grill are private. The infinity pool, heated jacuzzi, yoga deck, fire pit and communal outdoor dining areas are shared with guests staying in the other three suites.

Head upstairs to the pool and lounge deck to take in the Sea of Cortez, or enjoy a quiet evening around the fire pit.

THE EAST CAPE

Casa del Mar sits within gated Cabo Vinorama, between San José del Cabo and Cabo Pulmo, where desert meets sea and days can be as active or as restful as you choose.

Enjoy shoreline walks, swimming or snorkeling when conditions allow. Explore Cabo Pulmo, discover the coastal dining spots around La Fortuna, or simply stay close to home and enjoy the quiet.

BEFORE YOU ARRIVE

A car is needed to enjoy this part of the East Cape. The final approach includes an unpaved coastal road, and we recommend stocking up on groceries in San José before arriving.

Ice and reverse-osmosis purified drinking water are provided. Casa del Mar runs entirely off-grid, with solar power and generator support. Thoughtful use of water and electricity helps us care for this remote setting.
