Fox Haus near Purina, WashMo, I-44, Dog Friendly

Situated as a neighbor to our Setter Haus and Hound Haus, the Fox Haus is ideal for a stay in the Show Me state. The Fox Haus hosts business travelers, solo travelers, dog show competitors, and couples looking to enjoy the greater St. Louis area.

The Fox Haus has an open living, dining, and kitchen area, and a single bedroom with a queen sized bed.

Only 7-10 minutes to the Purina Events Center, the Fox Haus is popular with guests competing at events held throughout the year, especially for those with large dogs.

BEDROOM

With crisp white linens and a deliciously comfortable bed, your sleep is high priority at the Fox Haus.

LIVING AREA

The living area features an incredibly gorgeous area rug that you want to dig your toes into when you sit back to catch up on your Netflix series. The Roku smart TV has Netflix, Amazon Prime, YouTube, Starz, Hulu, and more.

*Note that you will need to have your own Netflix, Hulu, Dish. etc. accounts to access those features as we do not share our accounts with you.*

The couch is easily pulled out to a luxury king size bed by Luonto.

KITCHEN

Fully equipped with all major appliances as well as several small appliances that you can't live without (i.e. Keurig, regular coffeemaker, teapot).

The Fox Haus is equipped with white place settings, solid flatware, and sleek glassware, as well as wine glasses for relaxing and children's settings for small families.

BATHROOM and LAUNDRY

With a full size washer and dryer, the bathroom is fully renovated and has bright daylight lighting. Has a shower/tub combo and plenty of space to move around.

PORCH and YARD

The yard is extensive and mainly in the front with a little in the back. The front porch has two white rockers for you to enjoy the laid back country setting.

The whole house and front yard are yours to enjoy.

NEIGHBORS

The Fox Haus shares the gravel drive and acreage with our Setter Haus and Hound Haus. You will pass by the other two homes to get to the Fox Haus. Have friends with you? Book the "Pack" of three houses together.

The Fox Haus is in a handy location to explore the eastern half of Missouri. Here are some popular attractions and how far away the Fox Haus is:

- Purina Farms and Shaw's Arboretum @ 7-10 minutes
- Blu Room therapy @ 12 minutes
- Washington, Missouri and the Missouri River (downtown festivals, Town and Country Fair, large industrial park) @ 10-15 minutes
- East Central College and the Union industrial park @ 13-15 minutes
- Six Flags @ 20 minutes
- Missouri Wine Country in Augusta @ 25-30 minutes
- Other area wineries from Union (15 minutes) to New Haven (35 minutes) to Hermann (50 minutes)
- River floating on the Huzzah River, Current River, and the Meramec River @ 30-60 minutes
- Downtown St. Louis for Cardinals baseball, Blues hockey, the Fox Theatre, the St. Louis Zoo, the Muny, the Science Center, the Art Museum, Forest Park, the City Museum, the Arch, Missouri Botanical Gardens, and much more @ 40-60 minutes

We have off street parking on the side of the house. Please do not park in front of the house and block the circle drive.

- Pre-approved dogs only, dog rate is $25/nt per dog
- If competing at Purina Farms, please inquire about the Purina Farms dog rate
- The dog rate applies to ALL dogs on property, even those you choose not to bring inside the home

- Rate is based on 2 people, there is per person fee for additional guests.

RESERVATION NOTES

- $25/nt per dog
- 2 night minimum on the weekends
- Local tax and cleaning are additional
- Drivers license will be required with our signed guest agreement after you book

CANCELLATION POLICY

If you cancel before 45 days of arrival, you receive a full refund of your deposit, less a cancellation fee. If you cancel within 45 days of arrival, there is no refund.

The property was amazing. It was clean, inviting, and spacious. While the weather was cooler than we had hoped, there were board games, puzzles, and cards to keep us occupied. We hope to visit again soon.

Perfect Overnight Stays
My wife and I stayed at Fox Haus overnight on two occasions on a road trip to the Southwest. It was an ideal setup for us. The house is located 5 minutes off I-44, but in a quiet neighborhood. The property easily accommodated two dogs, with plenty of running room outside. The interior of the house appeared virtually new, well-equipped and spotlessly clean. The owners have thoughtfully provided everything needed, from towels, paper products, soap/shampoo, and even toothpaste. The kitchen was well-equipped for cooking and serving. (If you're not in the mood to cook, I can highly recommend delivery from the Cherry Blossom Restaurant in nearby Washington--Excellent Japanese cuisine.) The hosts of Fox Haus were excellent communicators and readily available by phone to deal with questions. If you're staying for a few days or just traveling through, this place is highly recommended, particularly if you're bringing a furry friend or two.

Property was very lovely, accurately advertised. The only drawback was the 18 miles to nearest grocery but that was manageable. The homeowners have extremely easy check in and home guide; very impressive, they were also very easy to contact. Would return and recommend

Great little house
Perfect size for 2 people, super cute. Communication was easy with the owners. Probably the most comfortable bed/bedding I've ever slept on... looked all over for the tags so I could google it and buy some, lol. The only complaint was a faint smell of dog urine... probably just need to shampoo the area rug. Would definitely rent again!!

Everything was nice. Great place if you bring a dog. Wonderful front porch with big trees and lovely breeze. Had ants in kitchen but perhaps the rain brought them in (4-5 days of ants). Also no air conditioning coming out of bedroom vents. Made for uncomfortable - stay. Need bowl scraper. Otherwise kitchen was supplied.

Great 4 Night Stay
We were able to check in a little early after reaching out to the property owner, which was nice. Clean and spacious property. Pet friendly (no fenced yard though) and very peaceful. Kitchen had a full stove, microwave, Keurig and large refrigerator/freezer. Some great basic supplies are provided, like salt and pepper etc., but no cooking oil or dishwasher (not that we required it). Smart TVs in the living room and bedroom were a bonus. Driveway is a little bumpy so take it slow!

The house was everything we wanted. Small but open where everyone can be together but not on top of each other. The decor was beautiful and we loved the little dog themed fox hause accents. Very cute, very well equiped, had everything we needed. Quiet peaceful setting.

Welcoming and comfortable
My husband and I stayed for 5 nights and enjoyed every day there. The cottage is charming inside and out. Every morning we had our coffee in the rocking chairs on the front porch and every evening we spent time there with a glass of wine. Nat and Ashley thought of everything, from the comfortable bed to fluffy white towels. We had everything we needed. The kitchen is well stocked with tools/utensils if you plan on cooking. We hope to return next fall !

Sad Time - Great Place
We received word that my Dad was unresponsive and not expected to be with us much longer. We found the Fox Haus and was immediately accepted and confirmed...my brother stayed in a 2 star hotel. WHAT a difference between our experiences during this difficult time! The Fox Haus was exactly what we needed to unwind and regroup and with the space provided we were able to accomplish everything we need and store effects until it was time for the 13 hours drive home. If we ever come back to Missouri we will definitely try and reconnect and stay here.
