The property is gorgeous, with inner courtyard gardens, pool, roof top hot-tubs and even massage! The meals were excellent and the staff friendly and communicative. The rooms , comfortable and the beds/bedding perfect for sleep. The bar, small, but well stocked and great place to get familiar with pisco sours!

Very nice little hotel with excellent restaurant. The proprietor is very helpful and speaks excellent English. We highly recommend this hotel. It is great place to stay for a day trip to the beautiful Elqui Valley.

Herausragend gutes Hotel in Vicuña. Fünf Gehminuten in die Ortsmitte. Toller, ehrlicher und freundlicher Service. Personal absolut bemüht. Laundry ist kostenlos. Klasse Frühstück und Abendessen. Schöne Anlage mit zwei Innenhöfen, vielen Pflanzen, Kakteen und Pool. Empfehlung: "Signature Room" im Obergeschoss mit Balkon (No. 13).

Mein Mann und ich hatten das Vergnügen, im Solar Madariaga Hotel in Vicuña zu übernachten, und wir waren von unserem Aufenthalt begeistert. Das Hotel liegt im Elqui-Tal welches eine tolle Landschaft bietet. Das Zimmer war komfortabel und sauber, wenn und entgegen unserer Sorge in der Nacht, ab ca. 22:30 Uhr sehr ruhig. Das Personal war äußerst freundlich und hilfsbereit, wir haben uns sofort wohl und willkommen gefühlt. Das Hotel verfügt über einen Pool, einen Whirlpool und einem sehr guten Restaurant, das köstliche regionale und internationale Küche bietet. Ein Highlight unseres Aufenthalts war die Möglichkeit, an einer Sternenbeobachtung direkt im Hotel-Patio teilzunehmen. Das Hotel hat ein eigenes Teleskop und wir konnten die Sterne in voller Pracht genießen. Der Guide war sehr visiert und hat uns vieles gezeigt und erklärt (auf Englisch, was in Chile schon eine Besonderheit ist). Es war eine schöne Erfahrung, die wir jedem empfehlen können. Das Hotel bietet eine einladende und entspannende Atmosphäre, die perfekt für einen erholsamen ist. Es ist hat top Ausgangslage zur Erkundung des Elqui-Tals.

La mejor opción en Vicuña!!
Una gratísima sorpresa encontrar esta casona antigua remodelada con gran acierto y rescatando el espíritu y ambiente de tiempos lejanos. La cordialidad se encuentra en cada una de las personas que nos atendieron, especialmente en Mitzi, la dueña de este Hotel. Comentario aparte la calidad del restaurant"Aloe", todo exquisito y bien presentado a valores muy razonables. Una experiencia que hay que repetir.

GORGEOUS boutique well designed hotel
We absolutely loved our stay at this gorgeous boutique hotel. The recent renovation has been done with such an attention to detail and stunning designer fabrics and fixtures. Beds are very comfortable and the restaurant is also fabulous for both breakfast and dinner. Both courtyards are beautiful and Diego gave us great history about the property and area in perfect English. He is a fun story teller! One room had air conditioning and the other did not. We truly wished we could have stayed another night. Highly recommend.

Lovely hotel
Very nice historic hotel. The positives included the big bed, nice bathroom, decent breakfast, good pool area and nice courtyard area. The staff were excellent - spoke great English too which was a bonus for us. Nice quiet location in Vicuña. The main negative was the lack of air conditioning despite it being advertised as included. Only half of the rooms (the pool view rooms) seem to have working air con so our room, whilst very nice, was uncomfortably hot. A fan was provided which helped. I would give it a perfect score if there was air con.

Sometimes review score can be misleading
This Hotel has a lot of potential, located a few blocks from the main square avoiding excess of street noise. A super well done renovation of a colonial house -unfortunately, not common in Chile- keeping the original architecture adding new paint, beautiful lightning and a new construction in the patio for new rooms and jacuzzis. Local cactus and trees for great common area with pool. There's a restaurant (ALÓE) with a short but well prepared menu and cocktails, maybe this was the highlight here. Our room (13) had a balcony, nice comfy bed and a weird but cozy shower room. Such a big bathtub but not enough water pressure to deliver as should be, can be understable regarding the drought in the area but inconsistent when having jacuzzis and swimming pool. Regarding the cleaningness, poor. Could be much better, there was dust and hair, here and there. Even a “araña de rincon” appeared, enough.

This was our favorite place to stay of the trip. The unique courtyard and adjoining restaurant were lovely. I would stay here again.

Petit hotel reposant avec une belle cour intérieure. On est très bien reçu. Petit déjeuner avec des fruits frais, oeufs, jambon, beurre, fromage, pain et confitures. La chambre 1 donne sur la rue et on entend les voitures. Jusqu’à 7h du matin ça va, il n’y a pas trop de passage, ça n'empêche pas de dormir.

Hervorragendes Hostal, in einem alten Haus mit Hof und Garten. Die Hausherren pflegen liebevoll das Anwesen und zum tollen Frühstück bekommt man auch frische Avocado von den eigenen Avocadobaüme.
