I stayed here from Dec 26 to Dec 28 and found a bedbug in my room. What concerned me most was how lightly this seemed to be treated and the lack of a clear protocol. When I first called, the response was simply asking if I wanted to switch rooms. An inspection wasn’t mentioned until I asked, and I had to request basic steps like spray for my belongings and guidance on what I should do.
For laundry/decontamination, I was initially told to find a laundromat myself and submit receipts, which meant spending my vacation time managing the situation. I had to push back and request that the hotel provide support directly, which should have been offered from the start. The whole experience was stressful, especially with the worry of bringing a bedbug home.
A refund for the stay was promised, but it has now been about a month and communication has been slow with long gaps between responses. It feels like this is being dragged out instead of resolved promptly.
