We really enjoyed our stay, perfect location in Victoria. Suite was updated, clean, spacious. We would definitely stay here again, although wish they had pet friendly rooms!

Enjoyed our stay at Helms inn for 3 nights. Very clean and conveniently located. Not sound proof, could hear kids running upstairs on the morning of our last day, thankfully we were checking out that morning.

We weren't aware that parking was extra so that was a surprise. The room was wonderful- it is an older building but nicely renovated with a spacious room that was clean. Only issue was the room was noisy - both upstairs as well as traffic outside. We would definitely go back but choose a room in the back next time

Room was large but had a very strange smell - possibly damp?. Was also facing a very busy junction so lots of traffic noise until late at night, before starting again early morning. The bed and pillows were comfortable. Location was excellent for walking into town.

This property is overrated and the building is old with no elevator. The service is average but not worth the money. Additionally, the staff won't allow check-in before 4 PM, which I found unreasonable.

Helms Inn was perfect for us! It was an easy walk to most attractions and there is a bus stop nearby. The staff were friendly and helpful. The kitchenette was a bonus, so we could make breakfast and snacks. A great place to stay while exploring the Inner Harbour and downtown!

Property and room were clean, staff helpful with recommendations of places to eat and visit, and the location was great. Room had a kitchenette with all necessary items to make meals. The building is right across the street from Beacon Hill Park (beautiful flowers, multiple species of trees, and wildlife) and a quick walk to groceries, restaurants, and downtown Victoria. Would absolutely stay at Helms Inn again!

The employee at the front desk was extremely helpful and friendly. Was willing to show us the room before we checked in and addressed all our concerns. The rooms were lovely, clean, and modern. Bed was comfortable. We did have to pay for paying and would have been better if included. It was within walking distance to harbor, Imax, park, and restaurants Would definitely stay there again.

Comes with a kitchenette and great location! Staff were friendly and professional. Very clean and modern furnishing in the rooms despite being an old building. The only thing is that the AC is quite loud and blows quite strongly at you, so it might bother light sleepers during the hot summer months

We managed to book one of the few remaining available rooms at Helms. We mentioned a few times while on the ferry that we hope the place is okay. We were definitely surprised and very pleased with location, with our room and with the staff. We will definitely choose this hotel on our next visit.

What a great find! This will be our 'go to' in Victoria. Although an older property, it is well maintained and the units are spacious, comfortable and very clean. The location couldn't be better. Highly recommended

We liked the closeness to the downtown area, but had sadly a suite which has a number of stairs into the apartment and from the bedroom to the washroom. With two elderly parents this was not the ideal apartment to stay. Sadly it was not possible to move to another apartment.

This hotel is new and clean. I stayed only for a night. It’s in the city and closed to a big park. I will be stay again when I return to here. The receptionist was very nice.

The good news is that the room was recently refurbished, with all new flooring and furniture. It was roomy with a kitchenette and the water pressure in the shower was great. And it was not too expensive compared to other nearby properties. It is also in a great location - close to downtown but not so close the it would be noisy at closing time. The only negatives are that I was on the third floor and it is a walk up; the hallway carpets are a little tired; and the water in the shower oscillated in temperature just a bit. Overall would go back and would recommend.
