«Hostel El Refugio had all the comforts of home including a warm hearty breakfast every morning, comfortable beds with fresh linens in a private room, and private bathrooms. My visit was during fall when temps were colder. The hostel was always warm after a day outdoors. The owner Luis was very kind and accommodating, making sure you have everything for a perfect visit. »

«Very courteous staff. Excellent food with excellent service in restaurant. Room spotless and clean and room service excellent. Front office staff also excellently courteous and helpful. Loved the native artifacts and the natural wood interiors. This is much more peaceful and beautiful than “modern” concrete, steel and plastics. Spa also excellent with superb pool and very clean hot tub. We plan to return soon!»

«Lee and his wife made our stay here incredible. They were so kind and gave excellent recommendations for shops and restaurants in town. They made the entire process smooth including the airport to hotel transfer, check in, helping coordinate taxis for us, gave advice for our hiking in Torres del Paine and provided wonderful breakfast and amenities. They truly gave us peace of mind on our trip that we were going to be taken care of! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! »

«The hotel is beautifully located by the water. Very friendly and helpful staff in the reception. Large common areas. The breakfast is very good, a great selection of food and omelets to order as well. I do wish though, that in this area where early start of excursions are common, that they could offer a simple breakfast to go. Instead they try to sell you a box lunch. Our first room was on the second floor and had only a very small part of the window to open, so the room was a little stuffy. ...
