Beach and Racquet B109 is a first-floor bay view condo, located just a few steps from the pool and beach on the North end of Tybee Island. This cozy condo has all you need to enjoy a beach vacation on Tybee Island's north shore. The open-plan living area looks out to the covered balcony with a view of the Savannah River just beyond the natural dunes. The living room includes a sleeper sofa and a flat-screen TV. The kitchen is well equipped, including a dishwasher. The bedroom is furnished with a King size bed and a flat-screen TV. Guests will also enjoy a furnished private balcony, where you will enjoy watching ships and shrimp boats pass you by. The condo also has in-unit WIFI for your convenience. The unit sleeps 4 comfortably. Handicap friendly (elevator, not ADA compliant). Parking for this condo is unreserved for 1 vehicle only. You will receive a parking pass at check-in. It is located on the quiet North end of Tybee Island, directly on the bay where the Savannah River meets the Atlantic Ocean. There is a beach but no real wave action. Watch the dolphins play, and the ships come to port. The condo complex features private beach access, 14`x20` pool and 10x10` kiddie pool, tennis courts, private parking, gated complex, WIFI access at the pool and Savannah Beach and Racquet Office, community charcoal grills, bike racks, and community coin-operated washer(s)/dryer(s) in each building. ABOUT US: Tybee Vacation Rentals offers guests the benefit of booking with a professional vacation rental company with over 20 years of experience. Our local team has knowledge of the area and our properties. We are available 7 days a week and offer 24-hour emergency support. PAYMENTS: Book with Confidence. The beach was a little small but the bigger beach is less than a mile from the condo. The condo itself was perfect. We have a nosy toddler so the sliding doors were interesting but that is on us. The condo was really clean and bug free. The bed and pillows were the nicest we have a had at any vacation spot! The neighborhood was perfect to take an evening walk and the Jaycee park was really close. The park equipment there is covered, which was nice for our toddler.

Comfortable Clean room. The view is covered by dunes/landscape so you don’t have a great view on the balcony. Should not be advertised with a great view by any means.

I was very disappointed. The internet was not working the first day and a half. Which meant no TV. I spent a great deal of time trying to fix. The condo had some code issues with outlets. It wasn’t ocean front it was the mouth of the Savannah river front which is completely different. The pools were all closed one day. Given we were only there really 2 days that meant first day not internet or TV and no pool the second day. Then I said something to rental company and they could care less. So definitely won’t do that again.

Beach Getaway

This place was wonderful, clean, updated, and in a decent area of Tybee. This was our first time on the island so we didn’t know what to expect. Everything is pretty much in a 2-3 mile radius. The beach right beyond the property is right where the river meets the Atlantic so we did venture to North and South beach most days but it’s quiet which we loved! The only negatives I have to say about the unit is that it says one of the amenities is a washing machine which is a necessity for a beach vacation, there was not one inside the condo, everything is coin laundry only. I wasn’t so happy about that but we made due. We also asked ahead of time if there were beach chairs, umbrellas etc… and we were told no so we bought some when we got there and when we checked in there was a storage unit filled with beach necessities. Overall a wonderful time was had and we will be back for sure, I would use Tybee vacation rentals again just would stay closer to North or South beach.

Rest and Relaxation in the Sun

Exactly as was listed. Bright and fresh. Ideal for two people, and possible a third. Location was perfect for two pools and a short walk to the beach. We would go again in a minute!

Great location

The only thing about the check in process we did not like was that we had to stop to pick up the gate key (and drop it off at the end of our stay). Although, it was very close and we just had to get out from a mail box. The condo was cleaned well! Our neighbors on both sides had lots of children with them and we never heard them once, so it was pretty sound proof with the exception of some people above us that were stompers and door slammers. The view was as shown in the pictures (obstructed from the dunes), but we could still see dolphins following boats far off. We saw dolphins every single day! The beach was maybe a one minute walk on from the condo. The condo is right next to the parking lot which was where the board walk is over the dunes and then you were on the beach. The only downside for coming back from the beach is there is not a shower/hose to clean sand off with on the entrance closet to the condo. You have to come up on the other side of the complex by the pool to hose off with, which wasn’t far but if you’re loaded with children and toys/wagon etc. It can be a hassle. The beach was nice, not deep. Lots of container ships in the distance that would make some fun waves but otherwise it wasn’t super wavy so perfect for small children. Every night we’d go for a walk in the beach see tons of dolphins by the shrimp boats and watch great sunsets as well! The kitchen was well stocked, no sheet pan though for the apartment sized oven. We would stay there again if we didn’t have our kids because it was a little small for our family of 4.

Sheets had hairs on them upon arrival, shower had mold around it. Room was very loud as it was beside staircase. The dishwasher smelled of rotten chicken, which made my wife very sick. Overall very disappointed, we mentioned these things to the property manager & got no response. Only bright side was seeing dolphins at the beach.

Close to waterfront. Great dolphin sightings. Fully stocked condo. Bedroom area rather tight. No room for suitcase storage. No water pressure with the shower head. No view. Loud A/C. Dirty carpeting. Could hear upstairs tenet stomping around in the mornings and evenings.

Quiet and laid back

This is the perfect place for young families or people that are content with a relatively quiet beach experience. There aren't much im the way of waves at this beach which allows you to notice all the small marine life in the water. Also there was a large group of dolphins playing off the shore every day which was a nice surprise for us!

Go for the sunsets stay for the comfort

Oh my! The first evening we went walking to see what was on the property and as we turned right to go down the boardwalk to the beach (which is less than 100 steps away) was an amazing sunset behind a parked shrimp boat surrounded by dolphin and paddle boarders. There were people with their folding chairs on the sind sitting for hours watching the sun set. Amazing! And the condo is perfect for two. Super clean. Well appointed. First floor with a porch and chairs. Very short walk to the beach on the Savannah River to watch ships, dolphin and relax. Only thing missing was K-cups for the coffee maker. Ha! Easily fixed. I will absolutely stay again.
