When we checked in, the right side of the bed was off the frame. I told the front desk and asked for it to be fixed. The initial response was to question whether we caused it, but we were told it would be handled. It never was, and my wife and I ended up fixing it ourselves. The metal frame was too large for the base, so we had to reposition the thin support panels just to make the bed usable.
The next day, housekeeping didn’t replace the toilet paper. We asked for a roll after getting back from skiing and were told it would be sent up, but it never arrived.
Breakfast, which is a paid service, was disorganized the first morning. The woman running it told us she didn’t know what she was doing and was just filling in. She was nice and clearly trying, but it didn’t feel properly staffed.
We stayed on the second floor, and both nights there was a lot of noise from the room above us, along with people running up and down the hallway. There were also groups of drunk guests hanging out in the hallway around 10–11 p.m., sitting against the wall, drinking wine, and talking loudly. I understand it was après-ski, but this activity should have been kept to guest rooms, the lounge, or the bar.
For over $500 a night, I expected a higher level of service and better control of common areas. That said, the hotel itself was nice and the location was great. If you stay here, I’d recommend requesting a third-floor room.
