The fitness area was clean and had plenty of equipment and space to utilize it. The atmosphere was nice and welcoming. Tish (check-in) was kind and helpful. Amy (also check in) was VERY helpful & went above & beyond.
The restaurant however, was much less impressive. The food was adequate & portions fine both afternoons we dined there. The coffee is unimpressive to blech status. The cake topper however, was the dinner host’s response when asked about the menu item. I inquired about the Coho salmon entree. He had no clue what ‘coho’ meant and shrugged his shoulders. He even said, “huh, I have no clue” and meandered off with his messy hair & untucked shirt as if he’d just rolled out of bed. Maybe this is just Lawrence KS, since we’d never visited this town. Interesting first experience here. The rooms shower water pressure was minimal.
5 stars however for covered parking and close proximity to campus and Mass street.
