Welcome to our little piece of paradise. Set amongst the rolling hills of Tooborac on 6 manicured acres we have lovingly restored "Mimosa Glen" Homestead into a stylish and modern house with a touch of country charm all housed amongst some stunning gardens and lawns!
Located just 5 min from Tooborac (home to amazing beers and massive pies) and on the border of the Macedon Ranges and Heathcote wine regions there is plenty to see and do.
Here you'll find everything you need to relax in style. Oversizedkitchen including oven, microwave, fridge, toaster, kettle and all the bits you need to cook up a storm as well as an outdoor BBQ area. The lounge has a large 42" television with apple TV, ducted air-con and heating plus a wood fireplace so you are sorted for all seasons.
All three oversized bedrooms have king size beds and built in robes.There is a main bathroom with the original 1857 clawfoot bath that has been restored. There is also a second toilet in the laundry on the wrap around verandah.
Steeped in history, being the oldest original homestead in the area it is still located on a working farm. There is so much explore both inside and out of this beautiful property.
The property also boasts The Acres Cottage which is also accommodation. Both can be rented together or individually. With private outdoor areas and ample space it is still a setting for you to relax and unwind peacefully.
The Acres also runs as a wedding and events venue - but don't worry, no events are allowed to happen on the property when accommodation is booked.
There is plenty of private outdoor space and you are welcome to explore the greater property within the 6 acres of fence-line. Beyond this is a working farm of 10 acres, so we ask you not to explore beyond but feel free to gaze on the cows and sheep.
There is so much to explore in the grounds of The Acres, let alone the surrounding areas! 5 minutes from Tooborac Hotel (the oldest pub in Victoria) and with McIvor Estate Winery right next door!
Explore walking tracks, both macedon ranges and heathcote wine regions or book in a delicious dinner at one of the many restaurants in heathcote or lancefield.
