Family Getaway
My siblings and I stayed at the property last weekend and had an amazing experience. The condo was excellent and had more than enough space for our group of 8. Not to mention, the view was beautiful! Our guest contact was attentive and responsive to questions. We will definitely come back here in the future. Thanks for making our short weekend getaway a wonderful experience!

Gorgeous view and very comfortable!
From start to finish, the host's communication was outstanding, making the entire process seamless and enjoyable. The home was incredibly well organized and immaculately clean. Waking up to the sunrise over Lake Superior was a great way to start our day. The view is breath taking. I would highly recommend this property to anyone seeking a hassle-free and comfortable vacation rental experience. I look forward to booking with this host again in the future.

Thanksgiving getaway!
The pictures in the reservation do not do this place justice. It is much larger than I was expecting which was a great surprise. The owner communicates with his clients extremely well and is quick to address any questions. Again, this is a lovely home and a great place for a quick getaway seated next to Lake Superior.

So much room! Very clean, amazing view
This unit was actually larger than the photos made it seem! Lots of places to gather as a group of 5 adults, or to retreat to a quiet corner to read. The 2 bedrooms also have writing desks, paper & pens, and many outlets for charging - such a nice amenity if you have to sit at your laptop during vacation! Kitchen is well-stocked and there were lots of extra towels, body wash, shampoo and TP in the bathrooms. The balcony is very tiny, but there are benches all over the property to sit and gaze at the lake. Our dog adored sitting on the balcony; it was enclosed with glass which is nice if you have young ones or canines along. We were impressed with how clean the unit was when we arrived, especially the kitchen and bathrooms. They labeled the light switches and ceiling fans - that's worth 5 stars right there! Great place; don't hesitate to reserve. We hope to rent again next year!

Great time with family! Beautiful views, very clean and welcoming.
We stayed here in June 2023 and the location was wonderful! So many windows, and the balcony to see Lake Superior! The place is right on Lake Superior with beautiful views from all levels. It has a number of different sleeping areas so our family (5 adults) could spread out. The lower level was great for my son and his girlfriend with their dog, easy to take their dog outside. There is enough space at the kitchen table to play board games or cards. The owner has little notes around the house to explain how the lights and fans work. The shower was hot and lovely! I appreciated the scent spray in each bathroom. The house was very clean, with excellent closet space for a longer stay. The screen door needed a little tape to help keep mosquitos out, and I suggested providing more padding for the pull out sofa bed in the lower level. Also I suggest you check with the owner about the stairs being available to access the lake during your stay. Lake Superior has a mind of her own, so water levels on the shore can change. If the stairs aren't available you can experience the lake from the rocks/cliff area. I highly recommend this spot, and would come back for sure!

August getaway
Beautiful views of the lake ! Very clean and comfortable . Great location-Close to many hiking trails and restaurants. Would definitely recommend . We hope to come back next year !

Perfect location for Family with Pets
We stayed there two nights during the summer and it was everything that we needed with young kids and a dog. The location is amazing and has everything that family needs (including washer and drier!). Waking up and falling asleep with amazing view of Lake Superior is a cherry on top. It is super close to Lutsen and Grand Marais if you want to explore further north of the Great North.

Great stay-- Minor complaints
Beautiful place on the north shore! Very clean and great communication! Bad things, -only 2 fans and no AC -dining room light would not work -shared dumpster was always full and each night a bear would get into it and make a huge mess! -no recycling.... on a Great Lake.... very disappointing! Overall, great stay and would for sure book again!

From the owner: "Thank you for your feedback and my apologies that you encountered some challenges. My goal is to provide the best experience for our guests and to that end we encourage guests to reach out to us while they are in residence with any issues so that we can address any concerns quickly for a most comfortable stay. 1. There are 4 beds. The master room has a ceiling fan and there are 3 other portable fans - 2 in bedroom closets and 1 in the entryway closet. 2. The dining table light has 2 switches with one of them being a dimmer switch. Both the switches are labeled and if the dimmer switch is turned down all the way, it will seem like the light switches are not working. 3. Summer is a very busy season on the north shore and the management company that is responsible for dumpsters has recognized this problem and has recently switched to twice-a-week pick-up for summer-time. This is a remote area and services up here can sometimes be limited and wildlife can sometimes be a nuisance. My apologies again for your not-so-great experience. Twice-a-week pickup should take care of the wildlife nuisance going forward. 4. Unfortunately providing a recycling option for the community is up to the management company. There are however a couple of options for guests to take their recycling to a recycling center close by. Thank you for choosing to stay with us and hope we can still host you in the future."

Layout of the cabin was great for 2 couples, with ample and comfortable space. The view of the Lake was awesome! Great location for exploring the North Shore. The sliding door windows really needed cleaned, given that was the main view of the lake. Would recommend and would stay again!!

Fabulous fall stay
The condo was clean, modern and had all the amenities we needed and wanted. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need for pots, pans, utensils and a few food items such as coffee, filters, salt, pepper, sugar and cooking oil. The king size bed was comfortable and it was wonderful to wake up, lay in bed and watch the sunrise each morning. I appreciate having both a ceiling fan in the bedroom and a tower fan to stay cool at night. Thank you for including plenty of toilet paper, towels and wash cloths and including pods for doing laundry. We enjoyed relaxing at the condo, cooking all our meals there and enjoying the views of the lake morning, noon and night. We will definitely be back!

Relaxation on Superior
We were looking for a 2 night / 3 day stay close to superior and found this location that allowed dogs. We wanted a place with at least 2 bedrooms and space for an infant to sleep. This place with 3 levels allowed us to separate kids/dog and their noise so each could nap while the others were up. When we arrived we were so impressed with the hardwood floors throughout the unit, nicely updated furniture and décor. The view overlooking superior from the kitchen was great but the view from the master bedroom was even better! Sleeping with the shades open allowed us to look out on the night stars from the king-sized bed and wake up to beautiful sunrises, things I'll never forget. We found the walk down to the shore and spent an afternoon by the water on the private beach. The water was still freezing in late August, but on an 80+degree day it was beautifully cool. I would recommend this to anyone traveling with their dog and/or multiple kids or anyone who wants to fall asleep and wake up staring at the wonder that is Lake Superior.

A Wonderful North Shore Retreat
A highlight of this condo was the beautiful views of Lake Superior that we woke up to and enjoyed throughout the day. We appreciated the quality accommodations, especially the comfortable beds and cleanliness of the unit. The location was ideal for the day trips we took for hiking and sightseeing. The property owner was welcoming and provided great communication. I highly recommend this condo!

Great home base for the north shore
Tofte and this location are centrally located for all there is to do on the north shore. From grand portage on the Canadian border all the way down to Two harbors the longest drive is 45 minutes and most parks/attractions are 15-25. This property was ideal for 2-6 people and could comfortably fit the 8 they mention, especially if some of those are kids. The views of Lake Superior from the kitchen and master bedroom are amazing and the local beach/shoreline is a great plus. The kitchen is small but efficiently organized and has what you need to cook meals. We made several dinners and packed lots of lunches. We also enjoyed a movie night in the basement when it rained. When we are visiting the north shore again we will look to stay here.

Beautiful North Shore Stay
We loved the location right on Lake Superior and the great space! It was beautiful and comfortable for 8 adults and a dog. We loved walking down the hill to the rocks on the shore or to the beach. It was also near so many other great hiking options. We'll be back!

Great location along Lake superior on the North Shore. Close to good hiking, water falls, bike rental and trails . General store is about 3 miles away to buy supplies to cook. Local dining has great Walleye.

Breathtaking views for a small getaway
Me and my family wanted to stay close to Lake Superior for my dad’d 60th birthday and this place was incredible with breathtaking views. We felt very welcomed and the owner made sure we were comfortable and well taken care of. We were also welcomed with a bottle of wine for my dad’s 60th birthday. We couldn’t ask for a better vacation! Next time we’ll would love to stay longer. I would give this place a 10+.
