Enjoy the welcoming atmosphere of this spacious mountain cabin, with the comfort of luxury features. This centrally-located home is truly lovely, and has everything you come to the mountains for: a private, quiet gated community with expansive views! Gather around the fire pit, soak in the hot tub, dine al fresco, or just chill on the deck and gaze out at the mountains. Eagle Ridge is the perfect home base for your Blue Ridge vacation.

Entering the main level, you'll find the towering great room, with a wall of windows overlooking a breathtaking long range mountain view, comfortable seating, HDTV and an inviting stone fireplace. Just flip the switch for fireside ambiance! The great room also offers a full-size pull out sleeper sofa. The space opens onto the covered deck and into the lovely, updated kitchen, which has granite countertops, stainless appliances, and is well-stocked with all the kitchenware and supplies you'll need for entertaining and family meals, even your very own Keurig for fresh coffee in the morning. Your friends can sip a cocktail with you at the large kitchen island as you cook. The main dining table seats six and is situated just off the kitchen steps away from the covered front porch where the grill master in the group will be delighted to find a gas grill. There is a second dining area situated in a lovely bay window nook between the great room and kitchen.

The cabin ambiance continues into the main-level master bedroom, with its comfy king-size bed, HDTV and private bathroom, featuring a dual vanity, large jetted tub and separate shower. Step straight out onto the deck from the master, to enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning, or a late-night toddy. There's an additional half bath on the main level as well.

The upstairs guest room offers the extra luxury of a second king bed and HDTV. In addition, you'll find a charming loft family room with plenty of seating that is full of books, puzzles and an array of board games to get your family game night in the groove. A giant bean bag chair, recliner, full-size futon, and daybed with trundle not only offer the seating you need, but will accommodate sleeping for an additional 3 guests. This level also has a full bathroom with a walk-in shower.

But that's not all! Downstairs your group has more room to spread out, with a ping pong table, a queen size pull out sleeper sofa, an additional full bath with shower tub combo, HDTV, and direct access to the lower-level deck. Step out and find the new, upscale hot tub with waterfall and LED lighting which offers relaxation for 7 and it's own private mountain view! At the front of the home you'll also find a fire pit, where you can gather in the evening, star-gazing while roasting marshmallows. It's the perfect finale to a lovely mountain day!

Location, Location, Location

Eagle Ridge is centrally located in the southern part of Ashe County, in the town of Todd. From here you can easily access a huge variety of attractions and outdoor recreation. Historic West Jefferson is only 10-12 minutes away, where you'll enjoy restaurants and terrific shopping, including antique stores, art galleries and wine tasting. Check out the famous Ashe Co. Cheese Factory, with an old-fashioned country store. There's Craft Bistro for fine dining, two breweries and even two movie theaters! Mountain Aire Public Golf Course is also a 10-minute drive from Eagle Ridge, and within 15 you can be at Mt Jefferson State Park, with hiking for all skill levels.

Here in Blue Ridge Country, the journey is as satisfying as the destination, with gorgeous scenery at every turn. Drive a little further to Boone or Blowing Rock, for more options in dining, entertainment and shopping, as well as the campus of Appalachian State University.

In spring or summer, the New River offers tubing, kayaking, canoeing and fishing. Warmer months are also a perfect time for horseback riding, and sightseeing or bicycling along the Blue Ridge Parkway. In the winter enjoy skiing, snowboarding, snow tubing or ice skating at the many area resorts. And of course you don't want to miss fall foliage and festivals in the autumn.
