Recommended resort for a relaxing break
We arrived with the ferry to Tekek and there was a shuttle bus to the resort, although we had to wait for 15-20 min before it picked us up. The check-in was ok, we had to wait for a while before the room was ready as we had arrived before check-in time, but they had a storage room for the luggage and we could go and have lunch in the meantime. The room was nice and spacious; but the bathroom was a little old with several broken tiles. However we were very happy with the location of the room. It was right next to the beach and not far from the main restaurant. The breakfast buffet was excellent, but for lunch and dinner you get a little tired of eating the same place for five days (although there was also a thai restaurant with great sunset and good food). The snorkelling the hotel offered was a little disappointing. The locations for snorkelling were not as good we hoped and the equipment not the best (mask was leaking). Massage facilities at the resort were good, but a little expensive. In general it is a very good place to relax.

Fint opphold i liten leilighet på plan 1. Hyggelig personale og rask servering i resturangen. Rask inn og utsjekk. Hyggelig beachbar. Wi-Fi kun i lobbyen som gikk tregt og virket bare i ny og ne. Men vi er fornøyd med oppholdet, vi kom ikke for å bruke Internet...

Positiv betjening. Gode hotellfasiliteter. Barna likte seg godt i bassengområdet. Bra dykkesenter med positive instruktører på området. Ikke mulig å utnytte stranden på grunn av sandfluer. Sandbunn kun på mindre områder i sjøen ved stranden.

Tok ett par dager på Tioman for å bare slappe av. Berjaya er et helt ok sted, men har nok sett bedre tider. Litt slitent over det hele. Spesiellt maten var ikke noe spesielt å skryte av.

Detvar et flott opphold, til tross for første inntrykk på rommet som viste seg å se mye mer shabby ut enn forvrntet. Det var en deilig Strand og vi fikk med oss mange aktiviteter fra hotellets side.

Dette hotellet trenger virkelig oppgradering på rommene. Vi bodde i jouniorsuite, trudde det skulle være bedre enn hyttene, men det var ikke bra. Hard seng, veldig vanskelig å få trekke ned på toalettet, brukte 5 minutter hver gang :-( brukte badekaret og fikk ikke ut vannet igjen, personalet måtte komme og hjelpe til, samme problem neste dag. Internett på rommet var det ikke, vi måtte gå i reseptionen for å få tilgang. Det er ikke verd prisen og betale å bo i juniorsuiten. Et pluss var massasjeavdelingen. Spørr etter Grease, ho var flink. Servicen var grei men ikke mye smil og få. En ung gutt som serverte får pluss. Dykking er bra, mange fine fisker. Bar ved stranden på kveld med superdårlig musikk av to jenter :-( service i bar veldig bra.

Isolert fra stress og mas
Jeg og min kjære hadde 5 fine dager på Berjaya. En veldig spesiell øy, og gir deg litt følelsen av at du er med i Robinson på tv, bare at du har godt med mat, drikke og tak over hode. Hotellet ligger ved en langgrunn strandlinje og har gode muligheter for å dykke blandt korallrev, selv for de uerfarene. Hotellet ligger isolert 1 km fra nærmeste "tettsted", men innehar det du skulle ønske som 2 restauranter, spa, golfbane, dykking, barer, og spill rom for de minste. Prisene er også veldig gode da du får både lunsj og middag for under hundrelappen. Rommene er noe slitene, men ikke i dårlig standard. Øya har et yrende dyreliv, og om du ikke oppsøker dem, er det mulig en apekatt familie eller to oppsøker hotellet (helt harmløse) og gir virkelig følelsen av at du er borte fra hverdagen.

Fint hotell med flott beliggenhet rett på stranden. God mat i restauranten. Litt dyr frokost. Hotellet burde ha hatt litt mer organiserte aktiviteter for barn/ungdom som f.eks volleyball. Anbefaler å bo flere steder på Tioman dersom man skal være der over lengre tid for å se mer av øya og oppleve atmosfæren andre steder. Vi bodde tre netter på Juare og det anbefales. Vi dro ogstå til ABC og spiste middag et par dager. Greit å ta taxi til Marineparente å bli hentet igjen der.

Ok hotell but a little bit worn down an easy task to upgrade the rooms.Nice beach and outstanding snorkling on day trip.Sadly there was no beach bar for buying food and drinks during the day on the beach and no place for watching tha sunset sipping on a cold beer or a coke.No specially professional personell in check in.Not nice with ants in the bath room and in the bed.

En rolig og hyggelig resort for familier og par. Nydelig strand, mange muligheter for snorkling, tre restauranter med svært god mat. Gratis internett. Nydelig beplanting over det hele.De ansatte er fantastisk hyggelige, og liker å prate med gjestene. Velg Deluxe Chalet om du kan, for da får du verdens vakreste utsikt mot solnedgangen på kjøpet.

There was only one reception staff at all times, and she was slow and unfriendly. You can't have a quiet meal at the restaurant because birds fly in trying to get your food. Also, the food is not very tasty. Even if you want to go out to eat outside the hotel, it is very inconvenient as it is a long walk and there is no means of transportation. The room is clean, but there are a lot of ants and it feels unclean. All the staff were very kind and friendly, but considering the price and balance, this is not a hotel I can recommend.

We are coming to Berjaya already for years. This time we were not informed before that they had a fire. So the big swimming pool and restaurant were not available. They only let us know when it was to late to change our plan. So we were paying for something that we did not get. Staff were friendly as always. Food could be better for the price they ask. Breakfast was oke.

Staff and service culture (and prices) are completely out of whack and we strongly recommend avoiding this place until they improve. Examples: * Staff told us to 'come here' to order food and drinks - not a problem usually but they charge more than at home at this 'resort' which is supposed to be top class for the island. * Breakfast was generally very mediocre - poor selection. Coffee machine not working? Come back tomorrow morning. Need a spoon? It's over there, ferenghi. Fruit juices on the menu? We have two of the seven listed. * the kicker: We were sat in the Chinese restaurant trying to get a healthy option (US $65 minimum or so for two...every single meal came in around these prices), when a guitarist and singer came in to sing at us. Not our thing - not by a long shot. When we asked them to leave us alone directly and specifically and clearly - they smiled at us and kept singing. When we asked the waiter to ask them, he smiled and said it was 'impossible'. We actually got up, walked out, and sat outside in the heat until they left. This resort is to be avoided unless you want that kind of thing all the time. I have lived in villages and had a career in development things, and this trip literally was intended as my post-surgery "I survived a big disease thing" reward trip with my gf. We came away more tired than when we arrived and happy to get out. And much poorer for the experience.

Disappointed.
Had stayed at Berjaya Tioman some years back and enjoyed it. We decided to go back and take a short break of 4 days and 3 nights. We decided to spend a bit more and booked 2 sea view rooms. The rooms were large and pleasant. Then a fire broke out and engulfed the main restaurant and we were woken up by the commotion about 3am and had to be evacuated to the lobby of the hotel till 6 am plus. The staff did well in helping the guests get comfortable as they started assigning us alternative rooms. We were then approached and offered alternative rooms, which we were glad to take as we were tired by then. Unfortunately, they turned out to be standard rooms at the back of the property, supposedly a temporary arrangement. We understand that the hotel may have its limitations and may not have other sea view rooms to offer us. But since we had already paid for the more expensive rooms, the least the hotel could do was to reimburse us with the difference or with a meal or activity voucher. Even though we brought this up to the reception, nothing came out of it. Anyway, we decided to let it rest. Rooms: the sea view rooms are nice, not the standard rooms which are worn. Food: the restaurant food were quite average, not 'restaurant standard.' Snorkelling: you can snorkel in front of the hotel but you need to go past the dead corals and rocks. Staff: they were generally polite and helpful but management needs improvement and better understanding of the hospitality industry.

Magnifique !
Super séjour dans cet hôtel, les activités proposées sont sympa et le cadre et magnifique ! Avis aux amateurs de farniente, vous allez aimer les deux piscines proposées par l'hôtel, et la plage attenante, vous aurez du choix ! Aussi, 3 restaurents différents et un petit dej buffet pour tous les goûts, un service de location de scooter pour se promener le long de la côte, bref un séjour génial.
