The resort is beautiful and perfect for Instagram-worthy photos. My boyfriend and I visited over Valentine’s Day and made it a long weekend since we had Presidents’ Day off.
Check-in was unusual—there’s no front desk, and staff escort you straight to your room. Our room was clean, comfortable, and nicely decorated.
On our first night, we just wanted beers and appetizers by the pool after a long day of travel. It took about 20 minutes for staff to acknowledge us. After we finished, we had to ask two different employees for the check and waited over 45 minutes with no follow-up. We assumed it was due to the Valentine’s Day dinner rush.
The next day, we played tennis at nearby courts. The valet team was friendly and helpful, providing drop-off and pickup service. When we returned around 2 p.m., we tried again to order beers by the pool. Despite it not being busy, no one came to assist us. My boyfriend went inside to order at the bar and was told the beers were coming. After another 30 minutes with nothing delivered, we gave up and left the property to find service elsewhere. Because the resort is so remote, our Uber took 30 minutes to arrive.
The property itself is stunning and has a lot of potential, but the lack of attentive service—especially given the remote location—was disappointing. Unfortunately, we won’t be returning.
