Step inside this secluded cabin, surrounded by trees and majestic mountains, and enjoy high ceilings, warm wood floors, and thoughtful amenities including WiFi, heating, a well-equipped kitchenette, and a bathroom with a refreshing shower. The cabin features a comfortable queen-size bed and plenty of space to relax after a day of hiking, exploring, or simply soaking in the natural beauty.

Outside, a spacious private deck invites you to slow down and savor your surroundings. Fire up the BBQ, kick back in the outdoor chairs, and take in the stunning mountain views—or stay up late for unforgettable stargazing under the clear Sierra skies.

Guests have full access to the entire cabin and spacious private deck, including the picnic table, BBQ grill, and outdoor seating. It’s the perfect place to relax, dine, and take in the mountain views. Free onsite parking is available just steps from the cabin for your convenience.

We live on the property, but our home is not visible from the cabin, so you’ll enjoy complete privacy. We’re always available if you have questions, need assistance, or if anything comes up during your stay—don’t hesitate to reach out.

Description of location is misleading. While there is a walking trail from the building into Sequoia national park, it is an hour and a half drive from the main entrance of the park. It is a very inaccessible location. Fantastic for a getaway. Not so much if your goal is to easily access the main areas of the national park.

Anniversary Getaway

Loved every bit of it! Learned how to use a French press lol! Saw deer right in the front yard! It was amazing! The river is gorgeous! Sun up to the full moon was breathtaking! Definitely will be back! Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Cabin

Secluded one room cabin that would be wonderful to get away from it all as a comfortable alternative to tent camping. It is very rustic with few amenities. The best thing was a nice deck to sit and enjoy the Mountain View’s. There is a comfy bed and a bistro set. No other furniture. Kitchen is tiny and sparse and could be slightly more functional if some shelves for cooking items were added. No room in bathroom for toiletries and no sink. Adding hooks or shelves for guests would help. I would recommend as few trips down the mountain as possible and never at night. So while it’s a beautiful setting with good hosts, it was not the best pick for us meeting friends staying in town for dinner etc and going to Sequoia.

Cabin getaway

It was a lovely cabin maybe a bit small but most are. Its proximity to the main road was a bit challenging. Also we weren’t informed notice of the location up the hill until a few days before our trip date and by then it was too late to cancel. Furthermore if you choose this property be prepared for a winding road up the hill. Overall a pleasant experience at the property itself with spectacular views.

We liked the place and the majestic scenery around. The cabin was clean and cosy. But we couldn't sleep the first night because of the strong smell of a liquid used to disinfect the room. It was impossible to sit in the balcony to enjoy the evening peace or morning sun because of the annoying flies that gave us a very hard time even for breathing. An animal didn't give us a rest at night making noise from the roof and under the bathroom floor. Last night, the power was off from 6.00 in the morning until 10.00, no water in the restroom, no wi-fi... In general, we were very upset, and sorry to say, it wasn't worth at all to pay so much for such a disappointing experience...

Just outside Sequoia

Lovely property. Beautiful site with beautiful views. Charming little cabin. Nice quality towels. But here are few things that would improve it and that should be addressed given its cost. 1) New window, blinds and screens. Several of the windows don't operate properly, screens are old with some holes. Blinds don't operate properly. 2) Provide mall rug for kitchen like the small rug for bathroom. Install a larger kitchen sink. It is tiny which would be okay but given no bathroom sink, it would be good for the kitchen sink to be bigger. Add a hook or two in the kitchen for towels. 3). Toilet chain disconnected from handle and I had to reach into the tank and reconnect it. Not my first choice of things to do. The cabin is out a 7 mile road. Go there during the day because it is windy and narrow with steep cliffs. We were a bit intimidated driving it the first time however we stayed there 2 nights and drove in and out a total of 4 times (2 times in and 2 times out). So we got used to it. But do not drive there the first time at night. I would stay there again if my few issues were addressed. We travel a lot and for this price point, windows, blinds, screens and the other things I mentioned are not found to be problematic.

While I very much wanted to love this hideaway in the mountains.. I was not over the moon. While the views were amazing, and the cabin was quaint… the ride up was pretty challenging for we city folk. The cabin was not well stocked for the price…no sink in bathroom - brushing my teeth in the kitchen sink was a little too rustic for me. No towels in kitchen yet we were asked to wash and dry dishes we used so had to use bath towel. AC was minimal and our 2nd night I had trouble sleeping most of the night. My least favorite part was the fact that we lost power every morning and I had to get ready in the dark. Communication was challenging because we had no cell service when the power was out. Finally comma before were very stressful as we were traveling with no service and I was not provided the directions readily and we had to delay our departure for the cabin until we got the directions.

Mineral King Road Cabin

Very pleasant experience while staying in the cabin. It takes about 30min to get there from the main road, so you want to ensure you have all you need once you head up. Very unique and secluded!

This cabin had everything we needed for a remote mountain getaway. Parts of the road leading to the property were under construction, but the owners went out of their way to meet us down the hill and make sure we arrived safely. The closest entrance to Sequoia NP was closed due to winter storms, but we found a back way to a different entrance. (Always check park closures before you go!) The cabin was exactly as listed and had great views.

In the Park

We almost missed the Atwell Grove in the Sequoia National Forest further down Mineral King. We arrived at night so could not see anything on the way up the mountain. We woke up in the middle of the Sierra Nevada Mountain range in the South Side of the SNF. So cool, cabin was as described and helped create a unique birthda weekend with my wife!

Lovely cabin in gorgeous setting

The cabin is about 7 miles of winding road to the main road (30-35 minutes) and then another 2 miles to the entrance to the Sequoia National Park. We loved the cabin. Perfect for a couple. Fairly secluded with fantastic views of the nearby mountains. Very quiet and peaceful. The deck was wonderful for morning coffee or watching the starry sky in the evening. The Wi-Fi worked well, as did the air conditioning. All in all, we were super happy. The owners weee also very helpful though the communication with them before we arrived could have been better. It would be useful, as other cabin rental owners typically do, to send out well ahead of time what we would expect to find in the cabin so we know what we need to bring. And information on how we will access the cabin. We were spending time before arriving in areas with very poor cell and Wi-Fi connection and would have liked to have more clarity on all issues before arriving. Secluded Cabin

This cabin is the perfect remote get away! It is a self contained little gem off the main road with plenty of privacy. The owner was terrific, checking in everyday to see that our needs were met. She also offered suggestions on what to see and visit, as well as, best routes to get there. Great recommendations! Close to Sequoia park and to town yet quiet and secluded, this cabin provides the best of both. Great place to stay to see big trees and lots of wildlife, or to just soak up the sun and write your next novel. We really enjoyed it!

Delightful stay

Very clean, everything worked, solar powered so no microwave or hairdryer but small kitchenette & bbq provided everything we needed. From the porch the view across the valley was beautiful. We had a delightful stay and hope to come again.

Seven miles up a narrow road

When reading the description of the location of the cabin the details were not clear. If the traveling person had never seen or visited this area there was no way, to understand how difficult and way out this place was situated. The road is one lane with blind curves which carries traffic both ways . Misrepresented . All the food must be bought in yet the Mimi frig is exactly that.. like a tiny minibar.. one sink in the kitchen which is a small bathroom sink so clean up is difficult. If you are looking for total seclusion and camping out this is your place
