The Space:

Our property includes two independent houses on a large, fully enclosed plot — ideal for hosting up to 10 guests while preserving everyone’s privacy.



Main house: 2 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, a large fully equipped kitchen, and a cozy living room with a wood-burning stove and TV.

Guest house: 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, an open-plan kitchen, and a living area with TV.



Amenities: dishwasher, washing machine, dryer, high-speed internet, central wood heating, BBQ, and private parking.



In winter, the wood stove fills the house with a soft, pleasant warmth — firewood is provided for your first cozy evenings by the fire.



Even without the pool (open and heated from May to October), the house remains a peaceful haven during the colder months:

large bay windows overlooking the garden, bright relaxing spaces, country-style décor, a reading corner and board games for cozy nights in.

Guest Access:

Private entrance with secure parking inside the courtyard.

To make your winter stay easy and comfortable, bed linen, towels, and final cleaning are included.



The property is eco-friendly, with composting, selective waste sorting, and a septic system (please follow the on-site guidelines).



The Neighborhood:

Nestled in the heart of Theil-Rabier, the house sits just across from a children’s park and a small playground (with pétanque and table tennis).



Within a few minutes’ drive, you can explore:



charming Charentaise villages and their local markets,



the village’s listed church,



peaceful countryside hiking trails,



and local wine cellars, regional produce, and authentic South-West gastronomy.



Perfect for a relaxing holiday, a nature-filled weekend, or an inspiring remote work getaway.



Getting Around:

Ideally located in a peaceful village just a few minutes’ drive from local shops, you’ll have the countryside all to yourself — perfect for scenic walks, discovering local heritage, relaxing in a traditional café, or visiting the village’s listed church.



In winter, it’s the perfect time to experience Charente in a different way: cozy wood fires, game nights, shared meals in a friendly kitchen, and hosts always available for tips and local recommendations.



Close to Ruffec, Angoulême, Melle, Niort, Aulnay-de-Saintonge, and Saint-Jean-d’Angély, the house is a great base for exploring the region.



Other Things to Note:

For your comfort, the house is equipped with a composter for organic waste and a small compost bin in each unit.

The village follows a selective waste sorting system.



Please note that the property uses a septic tank — therefore, the use of bleach is strictly prohibited.

To avoid any issues, do not flush sanitary products, cotton buds, or any non-biodegradable items down the toilets.



The heated pool (open from May to October) is secured with an electric safety cover, but children must always be supervised when near or in the pool.



The property offers high-speed internet access.

An optional cleaning service is available for €175 if you prefer not to handle the end-of-stay cleaning yourself.



Parties are strictly forbidden, the accommodation is non-smoking, and pets are not allowed.
