«The Brook Trout Inn is a real gem. It has been locally owned for the last ten years. The owner and staff are wonderful people. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The location makes local towns like Highlands, Cashiers, and Brevard accessible with relatively short drives. There is lots of hiking and waterfalls in the local area. A great place to stay.»

«Great location - although lots of stairs if that's an issue. The property is beautiful and within easy walking distance to downtown Highlands. The lobby and bar looked really nice, and we were looking forward to coming back from dinner and grabbing a cocktail, and just hanging out, but were told at 730pm that there was a private party and that those areas were closed off to guests. I don't think I have ever heard of closing the lobby to guests - pretty disappointing.»

«Really cool 60's vibe. Rock band pictures, peace signs everywhere. It really oozed peace and love throughout. We grew up in the 60's so it really took us back in time. Our room was very clean and comfortable. Location is very close to downtown. Great!»

«The hotel was 5 star all the way. The staff were all extremely pleasant and helpful. The manager was visible and offered dining, excursion and shopping suggestions. All excellent recommendations. Our suite was large yet had a cozy feel. Everything was immaculate. The breakfast was excellent from fresh berry compote to specialty pastries to imported coffee. A beverage bar was available 24/7. Breakfast out in the courtyard was quiet and lovely. The location was perfect for walking around town. ...
