Smuggler F sits on the quieter west end of Telluride, and it has the kind of mountain-cabin character that's hard to fake: vaulted wood ceilings, exposed beams, skylights that pour light into the upper level, and a wood-burning stove at the center of the living room. The base of Lift 7 is two and a half blocks away, about a three-minute walk with skis on your shoulder. Ski all day, walk home, and skip the shuttle entirely.

The main level opens into an L-shaped living room with leather seating, a long farmhouse-style dining table that seats eight, and a full kitchen that handles everything from the first pot of coffee to a big post-ski dinner. The primary bedroom is down the hall with a king bed and a private bath with a double vanity and shower/tub combo. The second bedroom has a queen, and the third is a bunk room made for kids, with two sets of twin-over-twin bunks. A shared hall bath with a double vanity finishes the main floor.

Upstairs, a sunny loft tucked under the eaves holds a queen bed, more skylights, and a private deck up among the aspens, with peekaboo views of the ski mountain through the trees. It's the quietest spot in the house. Guests also have access to the Smuggler complex's shared ski lockers and a communal hot tub in a sunroom wrapped in stained glass, a warm place to rest tired legs after the lifts close.

The west end location makes daily life easy. Clark's Market is right next door, so grocery runs don't need a car, and the Michael D. Palm Theatre is just around the corner for films, concerts, and festival screenings. Colorado Avenue, Telluride's main street, is about a 10-minute walk east, lined with restaurants, galleries, and shops. The free gondola to Mountain Village is roughly half a mile away and keeps running after ski season for summer hiking and more places to eat.

Come for a winter ski week, a festival weekend, or a summer of hiking and Jeep tours through the San Juans. Smuggler F has room for up to ten guests, a walkable location, and the kind of cozy mountain charm that makes a Telluride trip feel like a tradition.
