  • Inspired by @williamJones I went down to south Florida. I also went down to visit family :D. Granted, I had to capture a few landscapes along the way. I left Atlanta at 3:30 PM and got into Key Largo at 3:00 AM. Slept for a couple hours in my car and went in search of a sunrise. I hoped to find a dock falling into the water, but this was just as good. I also went from 37 degrees to 74 degrees. That was interesting.

Awesome trip and great place!

We had an awesome stay! It was nice to dine at the restaurant on property the first night we arrived after a long day of travel. We enjoyed the pool there as well with snacks and bar. The unit was exactly as described and exceeded our expectations. It had everything we needed including many extras such as beach towels and coolers that one might not have if flying in. The kitchen was well equipped and we cooked several meals including our catch from a fishing charter. The location was great as it is about halfway between Islamorada and Key Largo for restaurants, breweries, Robbie’s to feed the Tarpon and more… It’s a quick trip to the grocery store and shopping area in Tavernier. We were able to take morning walks to a couple of coffee places. We would definitely stay here again!

The Galts home is excellent. They were very responsive to our questions. The home is very clean and well designed/decorated. Providing gear such as snorkeling, fishing rods, tennis rackets, among other items was clutch for our activities. We have a family of four, two teenage daughters shared a room with single beds and a bathroom. My wife and I used the primary bedroom/bathroom. Thank you Galts!Drew

Great fishing get away

Cozy Stay

Beautiful decorated, comfortable and cozy. Host was very available to answer all our questions. Everything was setup to make our stay nice. I am not a fan of bath tubs, so it would have been nice to have a shower only. The beach at the property was not that great.

Great spot

This place was perfect. Clean and comfortable and had all the things we needed for the pool and beach. Nice community. The games below the building were a fun suprise. Check in was a breeze. We love coming to the keys to dive and will stay here again. Island grill is fun for happy hour (the food was meh) and you're a short drive to a bunch of great restaurants.

Spring Break at Ocean Pointe

This condo was in a great location, safe, clean, well furnished and has excellent amenities. I could tell they put a lot of thought and effort into the unit. I only wish they had more of a pantry for food. It was a great stay overall.

Everything you need especially if you have a boat

This place is so cute! Tastefully decorated and it would be a perfect location if you have a boat or are going diving. The balcony is really tight so it’s hard to utilize for relaxing and watching the view. It’s not rectangle but a wedge shape so narrow entrance makes it awkward and there are just barstools so not relaxing. The master tub is really awkward and deep built on a platform I think someone with mobility issues may have problems stepping out. Communication was great. When we arrived there was a bad smell and the ac helped circulate and diluted it a bit . Sean offered to send housekeeping over but we were so exhausted when we got there and were just there a few days for dive trip we just let him know so he can check on it later. He was very responsive. The beach is not sandy but more rocky. They had fishing and beach towels and cooler just about anything you could think of. The sofa bed mattress needs replacing it was stained snd did not have sheets to fit so don’t plan on using that for a bed. There is a 3 rd twin in the 2 nd room it’s a trundle so ok for a kid hard to make the bed and hard for an adult to get into because of space we had to move table to get to it. But a nice option for kids

Great central location in the keys

Location and property grounds were great. The pool area was large and very clean and the pool bar was a nice touch! The condo was good overall but could use a deep clean and some minor updates. I would recommend Ocean Pointe suites for families.

Home away from home

Great communication with owner from the very beginning. Informative information of the area's activities and the condo itself; they even sent a list of restaurants that would be open Christmas Day while we were there. Clean and organized; had everything we'd need to cook ourselves if we wanted. Room enough for the 6 of us that stayed. It was a wonderful experience!

Wonderful property, amazing host

The property is amazing and the condo is beautiful. Loved having pool and boat access on property. The condo has an ice machine which quickly fills up, making keeping your coolers iced down a big plus. The master bed has the most comfortable mattress I've ever slept on.the host is fabulous and super efficient in making sure all the details of your trip are relayed. The check in was not so fun, mainly because we only speak English. It took probably 20 min to get through the gate, our son and friends who stayed in a different room had same experience. They tagged our boat and trailer but not truck. Next day the guy waved us through, so i asked for a tag, he sais your good. The 3rd day they didnt want to let us in saying the truck they had marked for our room was black (we were in dark blue and sons was white). She finally gave us our tag and the remainder of stay was without incident. The bar, cafe, and poolside restaurant was all closed down which we were looking forward to having that accommodation. All in all, 5 star because the host and his condo were all five stars! Highly recommend, would definitely stay again. Thanks Sean!

Clean and Comfortable with nice pool area

Family of 3. Clean and comfortable. Decor made it feel welcoming. Pool area and grounds were well maintained and although cabana by pool was closed for renovation, there was a food truck available. Pool was never overcrowded with plenty of chairs and swim space. Balcony like the others in buildings are very tiny but there was a seating area right under this building. Owner was very responsive to any questions. Location was great for us to explore numerous areas in the keys. Gated and felt safe throughout our stay.
