Stroll the white sand shores of Main Beach, catch a wave in the year-round surf, or take a scenic walk around the base of Mauao. For those up for a challenge, the summit walk rewards with breathtaking 360-degree views across the coastline and harbour.

Getting around
Mount Maunganui is wonderfully walkable, with most of the area’s highlights just a short stroll from the apartment — including the beach, Mauao walking tracks, hot pools, boutique shops, cafés, and restaurants.

For exploring a little further, the Bayhopper local bus service runs between Mount Maunganui, Bayfair, and Tauranga. Uber also operates throughout the area, making it easy to catch a ride when you need one.

Bike and e-scooter rentals are a fun and flexible way to get around, especially along the scenic beachfront paths.

If you’re driving, you’ll have access to a secure underground car park. Additional public parking is available nearby, though it can be busy in peak seasons.

However you choose to get around, The Mount makes it easy to explore at your own pace.
