The first room we had the tv didn’t work and the bed broke while I was in it. There were no windows to see outside, it felt like we were in a basement. If you go-avoid room #3. They moved us upstairs to a much better room but the stairs to get there were poorly made and you could easily get hurt if you weren’t careful. Like, REALLY careful. They don’t provide a microwave or a little coffee machine but they do have a fridge.
Pamela and Jaqueline were extremely accommodating. The grounds are really nice. This hotel is owned by the fancy resort next door (Tamarindo Diría) and the even fancier one across the street but we loved the simplicity of our hotel. The breakfast buffet is included and it’s superb. It’s located at the bigger resort across the street. You are allowed to use the pool since our hotel didn’t have one. One of the employees said our hotel was like “the little brother” of the big fancy ones. The hotel is not fancy. There’s no lobby, just a little check in desk.
The best part was the tiki bar. The bartender Kevin speaks perfect English and is super friendly.
This hotel is very small and located on the Main Street of Tamarindo. It can be noisy with all the street noise. Air conditioners work great. It’s close to everything and you can walk everywhere.
The biggest negatives were our first room and those stairs. In America, they would be a lawsuit waiting to happen.
