We had a wonderful visit to the Tamarindo area of Costa Rica during Christmas week. The house was perfect for our multigenerational family. We needed a five bedroom home for our group. The house was well equipped for all our needs. It was beautifully decorated and very comfortable. The infinity pool and the cabana were an added blessing. The beach was a short 2 minute walk from the house and the sunsets were spectacular.We utilized our hostess’ driver Randall and hired him for the week. He was the ABSOLUTE best. We had a few maintenance issues but the hostess responded promptly and effectively. We highly recommend the house and Meli the host/owner.

We had an incredible first trip to Costa Rica with our adult kids, and this home made it even more special. Melissa, the owner/host was so accommodating, always quick to answer questions and generous with excursion recommendations. The house is beautiful and cozy, with plenty of space for everyone and a wonderful great room where we loved cooking together in the evenings.The community is gorgeous, safe and just steps from the beach. The driver and house cleaner were both friendly and incredibly helpful, which made our stay even more seamless. We will definitely return and highly recommend this property to anyone considering a stay here!

This house was absolutely stunning! My husband said multiple times how it looked even better in person than in the pictures which is really saying something! We enjoyed walking to the beach to catch the sunsets and spending these days at the beach club as well as the other beaches within the facilities. I loved how much room we had to spread out. The indoor outdoor showers are absolutely amazing. I could not recommend this house enough! The owner was a breeze to work with and the housekeeper kept everything beautiful organized, and the laundry caught up which gave us much more time to enjoy our vacation!

The Perfect House in Hacienda Pinilla!

Just got back from an amazing stay at Casa Sendero de Mar with our extended family. We all loved the house! It's in the ideal location, in the Golondrinas neighborhood in Hacienda Pinilla, which is super close to the beach and highly recommended. House is clean and spacious, and Melissa responded right away to any questions we had during our stay. We loved the large gourmet kitchen and family room, and especially the outdoor living area and pool! You can literally walk out the back door and be on the beach in two minutes, which was great for morning walks and sunsets. We wound up renting a golf cart which was perfect for getting around Pinilla (like to store, beach club, or JW Marriott, which is very close). The room situation was idea for our family of 5 adults and 4 teen and young adult children. We will have many happy memories from Casa Sendero de Mar for years to come!

Just Perfect!

The home and neighborhood were amazing. It's a beautiful home with great amenities and proximity to the beach which we enjoyed every day. Loved the wildlife including the frequent monkeys. The owner was extremely helpful and very nice to work with. We definitely didn't want to leave and we look forward to returning!

Wonderful place steps from the beach

My brother and I visited with our families on spring break. We had 8 total and the house was a dream. Everything was well thought, clean, & organized. There was even an onsite house keeper!!! We enjoyed everything the property had to offer especially the pool and location to the beach. We had visits from monkeys to macaw parrots every day. The Property also has access to a private beach club which was great. The host Meli was super responsive and took care of anything we needed. We will stay here again!!!

From the moment we landed in Costa Rica until our reluctant departure, our experience at this property was nothing short of extraordinary. The attention to detail and level of service exceeded our expectations at every turn.Our journey began with a warm welcome from our dedicated driver who met us at the airport. What we didn't realize then was that he would become an invaluable part of our vacation - always available to take us wherever we needed, whenever we wanted. His assistance with translation was particularly helpful as neither my wife nor I speak Spanish, making our explorations of the local area seamless and stress-free.The house itself is simply impeccable. The daily housekeeping service maintained everything in pristine condition throughout our stay. The pool was incredible - perfectly maintained and inviting after days of adventure. The entire property is meticulously cared for, creating an atmosphere where you truly feel at home while being surrounded by luxury.One of the property's greatest assets is its location. The short path leading directly to the beach allowed us to witness breathtaking sunsets each evening. The natural beauty surrounding the property is awe-inspiring.Despite the numerous attractions Costa Rica offers, we often found ourselves reluctant to leave the house. Everything we needed was right there, wrapped in comfort and convenience. The host's communication was exceptional. If there were a six-star rating option, I’d select it!

Quiet community

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hacienda Pinilla! Melissa was great with communicating. Our favorite activity besides the house and short walk to beach was the Le Leona waterfalll tour, and conchal beach.

Incredible!

The house and it's location we're nothing short of incredible! We felt very safe the entire time and the kids LOVED the tide pools that were 2 min away. We saw monkeys going through the property each evening and the cleanliness and communication were top notch! The rooms and the indoor and outdoor bathrooms and showers were spacious and modern. We were recommended some excursions through the host that were amazing also. I would particularly recommend the sunset catamaran with snorkeling. We will be back! Thank you so much!

Somehow exceeded expectations!

Our extended family of 11 were so lucky to find this home! The house itself is even better than the photos. Our kids/teens loved the guest house and the primary rooms were incredible. Melissa was very easy to work with and addressed any concerns immediately. The maid service was flexible and convenient. Driving to Hacienda Panilla was interesting with rough roads etc, but once inside the gates it was beautiful.

The NOLA Crew - Louisiana

First, the owners are the best we have ever delt with and now have life long friends. This is a one stop shop, Melissa will help not only with the property which is amazing, but all your local excursions, food, cooking, shopping, and help you blend right into the local community. The property gives access to eco forest and pacific activities. While you have privacy and security at the property, very nearby are resorts and great restaurants. Saving the best for last is they offer a full time driver, care taker, and cook that we fell in love with…..really. Thank you Melissa, Ney, Yader, and Nico for taking great care of us and our kiddos. A GEM!

Everything about staying in the house exceeded expectations. The layout is great - we had 4 adults + 5 children & had room to spare. An unexpected treat is that the house is within a neighborhood within a HUGE private property - it is beautiful, secluded & pastoral. Close enough to Tamarindo for a visit but so much more peaceful than staying in town. Definitely appreciated the little details: card games, pickleball paddles, beach towels. Our visit was in June & we had the beach totally to ourselves - very special experience for all of us. Melissa was a great resource & was available for questions/guidance. Highly Highly Recommend.

Great Stay in a Beautiful Home

Pros: we loved the pool and enjoyed the spacious, modern property. Owner was very responsive and listing was accurate. Lots of games to play and ample space in living room with a great sound system for movie night. Little heads up: Beach is rocky as is the ride to Tamarindo.

Tamarindo Area Vacation

The Casa Sendero de Mar was perfect for our group of eight. The house was as described and communication with the owner was outstanding. I would definitely recommend staying here with a large group of friends or two families. The bedrooms are spread out nicely so you can achieve privacy when needed. While the beach down the path out the back is pretty, that is not where you will want to swim. The beach club nearby (car or golf cart needed) has a great pool, beach and food. Having the JW nearby (walking distance) for additional restaurant options was beneficial as well. Thank you Melissa for an incredible stay for our first (but hopefully not last) visit to Costa Rica!
