It wasn’t the staff! The staff was great! The lobby was clean! Check in was easy and I was able to get a non smoking room like I wanted.
It wasn’t until we got into our room that was not great. I am OCD and the The overall cleanliness of the room was lacking. You can tell the room had been remodeled at some point because the flooring was short of the furniture in many places. There was room for more amenities, like a mini fridge or a bigger desk, or a dresser for clothes. There was dirt was caked into the corners of ALL the baseboards, window, and AC unit like any of it had never been cleaned, swept or mopped. As for the bathroom…the shower drain was clogged with toilet paper in addition to looking like it had been used prior checking in. The toilet, while looking clean, upon using looked like someone shaved their pubs over it and was not properly bolted to the floor…I was afraid to sit on it! The towels and wash rags looked like they had body hair of some sort and terrible stains. As well, the exhaust fan was caked with dirt!
Not to mention we had obnoxious neighbors on our second night that were SOOO loud in their room. Their loud whatever they were doing carried into the breezeways, as well as they were smoking weed that permeated the breezeway. They were in and out of the room slamming doors and taking their loudness into the parking lot until 2am or later. Despite complaints, they seemed to temporarily quiet down, only to forget where they were and do minutes later.
