Lodgepole Lair - Remodeled, Walkable, Lake & Ski

Located in downtown Tahoe City, The Lodgepole Lair is a 2 bedroom/2 bath with a loft accommodation. The builder exquisitely incorporated pine, granite, iron, skylights, a well thought out kitchen, concrete countertops, other mindful touches and all with very tasteful furniture appointments. Guests can walk to downtown and easily access the forest at the top of the street.

Downstairs: The downstairs features the kitchen with barstools, the living room area with a woodstove, leather furniture, wood floors, surround speakers, and flat screen TV. The dining room area along with the cedar deck and natural gas barbecue are also on this main level along with a bathroom with a tub shower.

Upstairs: The upstairs contains the main bedroom with a king bed and a loft that acts as an office and sitting area with a couch and TV. The bunk room is also upstairs and it has a TV and Roku box and desk area so it works well as a great kids sleeping and play area. The upstairs bathroom has a clawfoot bathtub and walk-in shower.

**This cabin shares the property with another cabin the Pioneer Bungalow and are rented separately or can be rented together.

All Agate Bay Realty vacation rental properties are fully equipped with free high speed wireless internet, linens, bath towels (equal to the maximum occupancy of the house), pots/pans, dishes, microwave, coffee pot, blender, toaster, TV/TV's with streaming services, washer & dryer and barbecue (many are only usable in the summer). The house will also provide a starter set of toilet paper, soap, and paper towels.

A beautiful Tahoe getaway!We absolutely loved our stay at the Lodgepole Lair! The cabin has been beautifully updated - bright, clean, and full of natural light. The decor was so thoughtfully done, giving it that perfect balance of modern comfort and cozy mountain charm. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and everything we needed was right there.The location couldn’t be better - just a short walk to downtown Tahoe City for coffee or dinner, and close to great hiking trails. We spent our days exploring with our dogs and our evenings relaxing back at the cabin. It was the perfect spot for a peaceful birthday getaway, and we can’t wait to come back!

We plan on returning. No backyard but the porch is a great spot to kick back, relax, and read. Ridiculously clean and a terrific location. Quiet house and neighborhood to boot. Great communication from owner which was appreciated.

Nice Cabin walking distance to town

We really enjoyed our stay. Cabin was just the perfect size for 2 of us and our 2 small dogs. All necessities were there as well. Loved the location, was nice to be able to just walk into down town.

Cozy and close to Palisades Tahoe

Overall this place is great, housekeeping just missed a few things, some of this cutlery wasn’t washed properly, the washer had mildew in the soap compartment and smelled, so I had to disinfect it and the smelled lingered, the bedsheets need a refresh and I had asked for no down pillows and was reassured that would be cared for, but that was all that was in the master bedroom and the other pillows smelled musty, so it was a bit frustrating.The Wi-Fi is lacking but you can’t blame the owner/rental company for that, I think it’s because it’s in a remote location. I love the heated floor in the master bath and the soaking tub as well.

Wonderful!

Lodgepole Lair was the perfect place for my family and our pup to stay in Lake Tahoe. The home is walking distance to Tahoe City and a short drive to beautiful, groomed hikes and ski resorts. The neighbors were incredibly friendly, and it felt like we were part of welcoming and kind community.

Wonderful!

We had a wonderful stay at the Lodepole Lair in Tahoe City! It is in a great location… walking distance to restaurants, grocery store, beach, ski resorts, and everything else Tahoe City has to offer. The home itself is beautiful. The photos in the listing do not even do it justice. Our teenage son loved the loft. The beds are comfy. The kitchen is super cute and functional. Everything about this home is wonderful!We would love to stay here again on future visits!

Quiet Getaway

This property was cozy and cute. It was perfect for bringing our dog for the first time to the snow. The house was well stocked and equipped for cooking meals, and just relaxing inside while it was so cold outside. Great communication with the property’s manager and it was conveniently located downtown where there were a few shops and places to eat. We did a lot of walking around the neighborhoods and downtown. I would love to come back in the summer and I would highly recommend staying here.

Beware: Property on Steep Hill

Unfortunately I was unable to drive my car up the steep hill of the property even with chains. This property should have been advertised as on a steep hill, cars with 4WD or AWD can reliably access during winter months. Notified manager of property of the issue.

Family get away

So spacious, clean, quiet and cozy. We felt like home. The check-in and check-out were easy and the house looks just like the pictures show online. The only thing we would like to add is to put two curtains on the windows in the other bedroom facing the street. Anythingeske, was great!

Great location

Tahoe City is a beautiful town on the lake and has great walking/biking trails along the Truckee River. Lodgepole Lair is walking distance to town, clean, and has everything you could want. The master bed is comfortable and kitchen is complete. It was a great trip. Highly recommend.

Comfortable Home

Loved our stay at this cozy cabin in Tahoe City! Bigger than expected, updates amenities, had everything we needed and in a great location on the lake! Our favorite part was the heated bathroom floors and wood stove! Hope to stay again.
