I really wanted a like the Hotel Murano, but unfortunately there were too many issues that came during my stay. The room we received felt very worn out (and in desperate need of a refresh). Many of the staff members we encountered during our stay were also unwilling to help with basic questions that we had. We asked the front desk if there was any sort of breakfast available, and were met with a stern “no.” While I understand that the staff at this hotel have a lot to do, that level of customer service really isn’t acceptable.
Additionally, we experienced a few issues with our room that needed to be addressed by the hotel management. While the issues were addressed, we felt like the hotel staff wanted nothing to do with repairs that they were ultimately responsible for making (while making it seem like we were inconveniencing them in the process). How does that make any sense? If something is broken, there should be a basic apology and acknowledgement that it’s an inconvenience for the guest.
I’m willing to give this property another try at some point, but after this visit I’ll probably look for another option next time I’m in Tacoma. I want to like it, but the issues need to be addressed.
