This compact, first-floor, studio apartment is conveniently located a one-minute walk from the sea and Ortigia’s historic Forte Giovannello at the tip of the island. This is the perfect base to experience local Sicilian life in this charming town, exploring the narrow streets, pretty squares and beautiful architecture.

Comfortably sleeping three guests, the living space incorporates a sleeping area, a dining table for two and a small kitchenette. This area is furnished with a single sofa bed and a wall-mounted, smart flat-screen TV. The kitchenette is fully equipped with a cooker hob, oven, coffee machine, microwave and fridge freezer.

Location:

The small island of Ortigia is a UNESCO World Heritage site known particularly for its historic center and beautiful architecture. It is located off the coast of Syracuse in Sicily and connected to the mainland by three bridges. The property is a minutes walk from Forte Giovannello a popular cultural attraction, here visitors can enjoy beautiful views across the island and the surrounding sea.

For sun lovers there is a small cove called Cala Rossa located a 13-minute walk away from the accommodation on the eastern side of the Island. This is a popular spot for swimming and sunbathing. The water here is crystal clear and there are several rocks where you can lay out a towel and soak up the sun. There is also a popular sandy beach located about 15 minutes away by car - Spiaggia di Arenella. The beach is well-equipped with sun loungers, umbrellas and beach bars.

Ortigia is also home to many excellent restaurants and cafes, where guests can enjoy traditional Sicilian cuisine and sample some of the region\'s best wines.

The closest airport to the accommodation is Catania Fontanarossa Airport which is approximately a 50-minute drive away.
