Die vielen positiven Bewertungen kann ich leider nicht teilen. Zwar liegt das Hotel sehr gut und man ist ruck zuck bei allen Sehenswürdigkeiten. Allerdings hat uns das Zimmer gar nicht überzeugt. Vor allem das Bad war eine Enttäuschung. Es war extrem klein und hatte keine Ablageflächen. Als wir kamen war auch noch ein großer Wasserfleck auf dem Badezimmerboden. Dieser kam von einem Schlauch der tropfte. Ein gerufener Handwerker reparierte das aber schnell. Tauschen hätten wir das Zimmer leider nicht können, da das Hotel wohl ausgebucht war. Sehr störend war die Hellhörigkeit im Hotel. Nachts um 2:30 Uhr wurde noch laut im Nachbarzimmer geredet. Auch waren die Matratzen ungemütlich und irgendwie zu weich/zu federnd. Ich habe schon in 2-Sterne-Hotels mit wesentlich besseren Matratzen übernachtet.

Dear Guest,We are truly sorry that your experience at our hotel was not at its best.The shower was leaking but it was quickly fixed. The mattresses have recently been renewed and we have no other reports. Certainly your room was not the largest, but has a desk and a wardrobe to store things. If you needed more space (given your luggage) you could ask when booking, we would not hesitate to offer you an upgrade. You asked for a change at check-in, but we are often full and so it is impossible for us to accommodate you.With the hope of being able to welcome you again in our best rooms, we take this opportunity to send you our warmest regards.Hotel Posta Guest Service Team

A lovely palazzo-style hotel
A very quaint older-style hotel right on the harbour side of the old city. Busy local tourist area, but hotel is quiet. Excellent breakfast. Local restaurants are hit-and-miss due to tourism. Try the tratorria or the Sicilian place right next door, since they are a bit off the beaten track, and I found them excellent compared with the trendy ones in the heart of Instagram Town.

Overgewaardeerd, super ontbijt en goede locatie
Waarschijnlijk gevestigd in een oud postkantoor. Doet je denken aan overnachten in een kantoorruimte. Vochtplekken op plafonds en badkamer zou wel renovatie kunnen gebruiken. Parkeren lijkt me zeker in hoogseizoen een uitdaging. Parkeerkosten waren via kaartjesmachine €15 per dag en via hotel bijna €17. Personeel was behulpzaam en ontbijt was super! Locatie is voor bezoek aan centrum perfect

Good afternoon dear Huib and thank you for choosing Hotel Posta, we also would like to thank you for your good review about our staff and breakfast, much appreciated.The building is not an old post office but it is just an old building next to the old post office and it gets everyday maintanance in order to keep it always fresh and renovated and humidity is almost impossibile to beat, since we're in an island surrounded by the sea.About parking lots nearby, all the spaces are public and everyone can pay by the machines on the sidewalks or by Easy Park ( 16,90 per day), we don't own any parking spaces, we just give some tips to our guests for parking and there also are free parking spaces, when available of course.Anyway, our main everyday purpose is to provide a high quality service that fulfilled our guests’ needs, invite them to choose us again and come back in the wonderful Ortigia Island. Highly recommended!
The staff was very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was well presented and had a large choice of different foods. All very fresh. We had a lovely room #206 a corner room with two balconies and a view of the water/harbor. An added plus there was an elevator! The hotel is in a very conveniently location making it easy to walk to sights and restaurants. Very happy to have found this “gem”.

The hotel was on Ortigia Island and walkable to everything, including the train station. The room and hotel were very clean and I happened to have a sea view room with a nice little balcony on it. It was a bit too cold (March) for me to enjoy doing that, and the breakfast, which, in better weather can be eaten outside was a good international breakfast buffet. The breakfast room (inside) is small, so I suppose, during busy season there might be a seating issue, but I didn't experience that. The staff was professional and helpful. My only slight negative was that it was pretty cold in the room and there was no way to control the heat. (Generally, in Italy, you can still have heat access through the end of March.)

The hotel is located in a perfect area. We can walk to all of the sites. The staff is efficient helpful and pleasant. I had asked them for 2 different requests and they were completely delightful! The hotel is older, but it is extremely well located and you staff is outstanding!

L’hôtel est très vétuste et ancien. L’état de la douche et de la salle de bain était déplorable. Nous avons bien été reçu à notre arrivée mais au petit déjeuner le personnel était très désagréable et ne nous a pas apporté la collation souhaitée. L’emplacement est intéressant mais pour le reste ce ne sont pas les prestations évaluées sous la note de 4,1 sur Expédia. Le petit déjeuner n’offre pas beaucoup de choix. Manque de fruits et de produits locaux alors que l’hôtel est situé à quelques minutes d’un marché local.

Purtroppo devo assegnare un'insufficienza. Mi dispiace per il personale molto cortese, ma la struttura non è adeguata, soprattutto il rapporto qualità prezzo è pessimo. Necessita di ristrutturazione e risanamento dall'umidità. Anche la colazione troppo basic e con prodotti confezionati dozzinali.

Hotel mit schöner Dachterasse
Hotel am Rand von Ortigia gut gelegen, Service sehr nett, Zimmer ok mit winzigem Balkon als Pluspunkt. Die im Hoteltext in Aussicht gestellten Gratisparkplätze in der Umgebung gab es nicht, aber für 10 Euro konnte man auf dem öffentlichen Parkplatz neben dem Hotel parkieren. Höhepunkt war das Frühstück auf der Dachterasse. Preis-Leistungs- Verhältnis sehr gut, für den Besuch von Ortigia sehr geeignet.

Nos dieron habitación en la buhardilla y era inadmisible, las fotos engañan, es una habitación de lo peor. Protestamos y nos llevaron a planta baja a una habitación decente, más acorde con lo que estábamos pagando. No aconsejo que opten por habitación bajo el tejado.

Great location, ok hotel, ok staff
Fantastic location. Parking off site at a cost. Clean, well kept rooms and the terrace is lovely. Rest of hotel is ok. It’s costly for the standard of hotel, but you pay for the location I guess!

Great boutique hotel! Great location!
I had a great stay here! Best location in the city.. lots of choices for breakfast. You preorder it for a time. I like that! Juiiana at the front desk was very helpful in many ways. I would definitely recommend hotel Posta.
