Nice hotel room with a AMAZING view . Thought an extra $80 for checking in at 2pm vs 3pm seemed a little rough . $30 for an Old Fashioned cocktail was way to expensive for the quality of it .

Bathroom was big and beautiful but the drawer underneath was unstable and came off (Room 3303) Tissue box ran out of tissues. Only one bottle of water in the mini bar. Desperately needed another bottle if there are usually two guests in the room. Had a booking at the Blu Bar. Tapas was delicious but extremely small portions. Felt ripped off as it was $65 a head. View was fabulous as usual. Elevator on the way down at 11am check out time stopped at every level all the way down 33 levels ! Wish they had an express lift !

There's nothing i could ask for! The best accommodation! The altitude breakfast buffet, the food, service and the spectacular view of opera house and harbor view on the top floor is nothing to compare. Its juat breathtaking!

We loved our stay here, had a wonderful view from our room and for breakfast on the top floor. Staff were helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast is fantastic!

We were really blown away when we arrived at this hotel after an 11 hour flight. Bellhops and check in staff all in pristine uniforms. It seemed like every guest was dressed in pressed business clothes. Ferraris and BMWs out front. Very fancy. We were in rumpled travel clothes. I don’t even think I had packed clothes for anything other than hiking or the beach. I felt so out of place, but every single employee made us feel like VIPs. From the front bellhop who told us silly stories and gave us great directions to the waterfront to see the Opera House up close to the front clerks who made sure our room was perfect. Room was fabulous and our view of the Opera House amazing. (Get the executive room with the view. Totally worth the extra money.) This hotel is within walking distance to the train station, the harbour and ferries, shopping and of course, the Sydney Opera House. We took the ferry to the zoo and back with no issues. The only complaint I would have is the breakfast. It’s pretty pricey. You get to pick an item on the menu, have access to the buffet and can order a drink like a latte or a cappuccino. The staff are great and the view of the city awesome. It just didn’t taste very good. Everything was really pretty and magazine cover worthy, but most of it was either dry or undercooked. The sun was shining directly in my boyfriend’s eyes the entire time as well. When we asked to lower the blinds a little we were told it would affect the view.

Probably one of less nicer Shangri-La hotel experiences we've had. Felt the room was a bit outdated. Was not able to enjoy the pool as it was out of service, so we were quite disappointed.

Was very excited to stay at the Shangri-la Sydney. Had just left the Shangri-la Cairns which was fantastic to arrive in Sydney and be checked in by the staff, who weren’t welcoming or friendly. Our bags were mixed up with the other people in our party and we got the wrong suitcases delivered to the room. There was dust in the room and it stayed there for the full 5 nights of our stay. We did have an nespresso machine but only large mugs, had to use the paper cups from the free water machine and requested cups to be sent up and it was just an ordinary cup not an espresso cup (we got these in cairns. Also got free water in Cairns). Went up to the bar, we waited and waited and eventually had to go up and ask for service. There was only three other people in the bar and 5 staff. When we had ordered, the manger ( I’m assuming) pulled our waiter away from making our drinks to move a table. We also went to the downstairs bar at happy hour and just one member of staff on to serve the drinks, and a lot of orders. So a long wait was had. To be honest the only thing going for this hotel was the view. It’s dated, needs totally redone and staff need to be more welcoming. Maybe a trip to the the Shangri la Cairns to see how it’s done

Unfortunately this was a stay which was missed. Last one was awesome. Got upgraded but bed and room was average. Comfort of bed was awful. Toilet was not flushing main bathroom. Had courtesy of staff knocking on door 11.50pm to turn a provided Bose system off. It was and we checked 45 decibels we simply had background music. Breakfast we had cold meals.. credit to staff offered replacements but it was clear a pre prep meal and stone cold. Def no way the place it was some year’s ago!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Shangri-La - beautiful and well positioned, great facilities and staff were super helpful. Enjoyed a drink in the beautiful ‘Blu Bar’ overlooking the harbour. Totally recommend for anyone looking for a lovely location.

We were only 2 nights before our cruise, but enjoyed our stay. However, we arrived very early morning and the desk said they would text us when our room was ready, in an effort to prioritize us. They did not text, and we only found out it was ready when we went to the desk later afternoon and asked. Our luggage was even already in there. Also, we booked the 'deluxe darling harbour view' room, but our view was the highway to the bridge, not the harbour. Very disappointing. So don't believe the photos they show for the view from that room. We were on the 6th floor.

Our stay was amazing, the staff were very attentive and accommodating, it was our wedding anniversary and they were kind enough to give a complimentary bottle of bubbles and some chocolate which were amazing. Have to call out the horizon club lounge staff on the afternoon and night shift on the 13th April they were all so friendly. Thanks for an amazing weekend stay Shangri-la Sydney team, looking forward to return soon.
