The property looked great and seemed very clean. I had strange encounters with the staff, however. First, at the check-in -- I walked in with 2 small dogs on leashes and dog beds in my hand. The lady at the counter went through the check-in process, cars, breakfasts, etc. etc. I did the needful and proceeded to my room on the ground floor -- accompanied by my dogs. Once my husband and I brought our suitcases and settled the dogs, we left to get dinner. During our dinner, the receptionist called me and said that (1) she was not aware that we had dogs in the room, and that (2) the hotel policy shared with me did not allow for the dogs to be in the room alone. The receiptionist was very agitated and said they are receiving complaints, etc. We went back to the hotel -- the dogs were sleeping. It seemed to me, the receptionist saw the dogs, forgot to inform me about the policy, and tried to make it my problem. In my previous experience -- we have two tiny dashounds and take them with us everywhere -- all hotel residents are made aware at the check-in that this is a pet-friendly hotel and there might be some barking during the day. So, nobody would really complain, unless the dogs are barking at night/early in the morning. The encounter -- next morning, a staff member grabbed cereal towers from the breakfast area as I was filling my bowl. That was totally rude, especially since there were still a few minutes to closing. I really think there is a training apportunity for the staff
