The Star Fish Cottage is a one bedroom unit that includes a Queen-sized bed and TV in the bedroom, a full kitchen, bathroom with a tub/shower, living area with a sofa, TV, table with 4 chairs and some outdoor space on the side of the unit with a table and chairs. It can comfortably sleep 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 small children. The unit is air conditioned and WiFi service is available throughout the resort. Enjoy the communal outdoor pool and covered patio that has a gas grill, griddle and picnic area. There is a laundry room with washers/dryers for guests to use free of charge.

For those who would like to venture out to the beach, the unit has 2 beach chairs, a beach umbrella, a cooler and beach towels for your convenience.

Guest may request to have their pet, 1 dog of 40 pounds or less, accompany them on their vacation and will be required to sign and abide a pet occupancy agreement as well as pay $75 in additional cleaning fees for the in-depth cleaning required after a dog has stayed in the unit. Guests that bring a dog that has not been pre-approved by management or do not follow resort rules will be asked to leave the resort and all payments will be forfeited.

Fishing adventures, bird watching, water sports or some down time relaxing in nature and the beauty of the most desired key in Florida. We’re twenty-five miles to Key West for dinner and nightlike or walk down the block to the local tiki bar, Tonio’s.

We have plenty of space for your boat and trailer. There is a boat ramp just down the block at Tonio's that can handle flat boats 21' or smaller and the boat ramps at Cudjoe Gardens Marina (477 Drost Ave.) and Little Torch Key (SR 4A & County Road) can handle larger boats for a minimal fee.

We’re located twenty-five miles from Key West for dinner and nightlife. Walk 2 minutes down the block to Tonio's Seafood Shack & Tiki Bar. Bahia Honda State Park, with its beautiful beaches is a 15 minute drive from HIDDEN HAMMOCK RESORT. Our property is not on a waterfront and there are no public beaches in Summerland Key.

Guests are provided with the following amenities: a small bottle of dish soap, hand soap and a sponge, a roll of paper towels and toilet paper, a few laundry pods and hotel-size toiletries in the bathroom. This is to help our guests off to a good start. There are grocery and convenience stores in the areas for guests to purchase anything else that they may need.

Holiday Trip

We were down for the 4th of July and wanted a place to stay that was comfortable, but close enough to family, Key West, and Marathon. Could not have asked for better. The cottage was clean and the property was quiet and full of nature. Definitely a place we will stay at again.

Thank you for a wonderful stay Glen and Hope! We loved the location it was convenient to travel to the Key West, yet far enough from the noise and party. Summerland Key itself is gorgeous! Few great spots for breakfast and lunch/dinner. Also every place around had fresh seafood and live music in the evening. Pool on the property was very clean and heated, which I loved since we got a few cooler days.Overall wonderful atmosphere. If we will be back to Key West next year, we will be back to stay at

This is an awesome location. Quiet yet within 20 minutes of Key West, beaches, marinas, tiki restaurants/bars. Hope was a great host and had great suggestions on things to do and places to eat. Very pet friendly also.

Beautiful Property in Great Location

Ww stayed for 6 nights as our first time in the Keys. The property is very well manicured with everything you'll need. We had a small issue with one cottage that was quickly rectified by the owners. Hope Nd Glenn were terrific! Not sure if we'll ever return to the Keys, but we highly recommend The Hidden Hammick to anyone visiting the area.

Honeymoon Ruined

From the pictures you would think it looked pretty great and the fact that it states that it is a 5min walk from the beach was a big seller for us. When we first arrived, I didn't see a beach near it, all I saw was mangroves. When we then talked to another couple staying there and they proceeded to tell us that when they first got there that they had actually went to the wrong unit but that there door code worked in the couple that was occupying that unit, so then we found out we had the same door code as well. That was kind of crazy to me that we could all enter each others units. Yes, my husband did try that theory later, and it was true. The next day I went to take a shower and the water started backing up in the shower, so kind of a concern, but if that was the worse thing, ok but my husband wasn't happy. The next day which was Monday, my husband came out the toilet had backed up and even using the plunger he couldn't get it unclogged. We called the host and then she had the owner call us and he asked us to use the plunger and he would see about someone coming over. They came and we had to wait to get all that done, then it got worse and pretty much in short ruined our honeymoon, and we had 3 miserable days, had to go find a bathroom at 5am to go to one morning because I had to use the bathroom. we were ready to leave. They did put us in another room, and then paid for a dinner but honestly we should receive 3days of what we paid back, this was our honeymoon ruined!!

Summerland Fun

Property exceeded my expectations, property was spotlessly clean, pool was gorgeous and refreshing, BBQ area was a great way to wind down the day and visit. Will definitely come and stay again, and will recommend to everyone. Close enough to Key West to enjoy the day and be back in time for a swim and BBQ, with a variety of beaches close by to sit back and watch the sea and enjoy the day. Plenty of options if you want to fish, with or without a charter.

Relaxing stay in the Keys

The property has been recently updated. The property is not near a beach which the ad said it was within a 5 minute walk. The beaches are both 20 miles in either direction. The bed was very uncomfortable and there were no smoke detectors in the unit, but otherwise the property was wonderful for a relaxing vacation.

We loved having the pool so close. We enjoyed the peace and quiet. I wish there had been a box spring for the bed. The slats were not comfortable. Hope was very responsive when we had a plumbing issue. It was fixed immediately. There was a mildewy smell in the unit that stayed on our clothes and in our suitcase. Overall, we enjoyed our time there.

Great location and good parking space

Good location. Restaurants, stores and walk access points close by. Also has hose right next to where you park so you can wash your boat off. Inside is nice and clean. The only problem is the ants running the floor in kitchen.
