Legacy Lighthouse...Tim has been captivated by lighthouses his whole life. His adult children recall the vacations that were scheduled around visiting as many lighthouses as possible, to and from their destination. Tim was an educator most of his life, helping young people fall in love with woodworking as a the industrial arts teacher at his alma mater and local school district. His summer projects included building one house a year for a lucky family. His talent caused people to book early and wait years to have Tim Immel build their dream home. After retiring from education, Tim expanded his construction business and continues to be one of the busiest builders in the area. Even in the busyness, he has had an unquenchable desire to build a lighthouse. In 2021, he acted on this desire. Tim believes in leaving a meaningful personal legacy, but he also wanted to leave a physical legacy; one that his adult children and grandchildren will enjoy and cherish for a lifetime. Legacy Lighthouse is part of that legacy. Lucky for you, his family has decided to share this unique property with the world. Spring 2023 it will now be available for the first time - Located less than a mile from the beautiful village of Sugarcreek and in the heart of one of Ohio's premiere destinations, Amish Country, makes this a place you don't want to miss. There are only a handful of lighthouses in the Country. Try to find one with the beauty, seclusion, and amenities Legacy Lighthouse offers...we doubt it's out there. Speaking of amenities, don't let the size of this place fool you. This lighthouse has everything you need for a comfortable stay: well-equipped & upscale studio kitchen, single burner to cook your favorite sides, cozy LoveSac sofa, electric fireplace in living area and master suite, hot tub, propane grill, fire pit, the highest-rated memory foam beds, smart TV's on every floor, high speed internet, and luxury linens. Sounds great, huh? It doesn't end there. Tim blew it out of the water by adding a private beach, dock, kayaks, fishing poles, pavilion, and deck. You will have plenty of space to lounge: chairs on the beach overlooking the pond and countryside, pavilion with a bed swing and padded swivel rockers, hammock in a secluded area of the deck, patio table with umbrella and seating for 6, campfire chairs, and a hot tub to soak and take in the views. Kid free weekend

We had a great stay at Legacy Lighthouse. The property was as advertised. It was cozy, and full of amineties. You can go fishing, Kayaking, Hot tub, games, sit on the swing and enjoy the peaceful scenery. Location is wonderful, you are out in the country but just minutes from everything. The property is very well maintained, and the owners seem like they truly want you to have a great time. We would highly recommend this property, and would definitely stay there again.

Amazing peaceful retreat

Our stay at the lighthouse was wonderful! The hosts were so thoughtful in their attention to detail, the architecture of the lighthouse was stunning, and the outdoor space was so relaxing. Will definitely be recommending this property our friends and family!

Anniversary Getaway

This a well located property in the middle of Amish country. Nice hot tub for relaxing in the evening and a unique structure. A little smaller than expected but was fine for the two of us. The hosts were excellent and left a nice anniversary gift for us. We enjoyed the privacy of the property.

Our stay was absolutely peaceful. We took in some of the recommended local shoppes and eateries. This home was accurately described and cozy. A great retreat foranyone seeking a nice weekendend. The manager was very informative and his peide showed theoigh their home and communication.

Memorable and Relaxing

Staying in a lighthouse is so much fun! I wanted to stay in a place my 7 year old for a long weekend. His older brother was going on his first fishing trip to Canada with Dad so it had to be something he would remember. This hit the mark. Well appointed, close to town but secluded with great views, everything you could need. The community was beautiful with much to see and great food. The hosts were so gracious. You will not be disappointed.

Cute lighthouse

This is a really cute lighthouse. The only thing I would recommend is to be in shape because you do go up some stairs to get to the third bedroom. The only thing I wish was different was they had a little bit more privacy fence from the storage unit but other than that, it was cute and it was a perfect getaway for us

Unique spot in Amish country

Such a unique and fun experience to stay in this secluded lighthouse in Amish country! Hot tub was great and we hope to come back in warmer weather to enjoy their private pond. Just a few minutes away from great Amish country stops and coffee shops—we hope to go back soon!

Legacy is the PERFECT place

For a unique experience, this property is the best place to stay in the Sugarcreek/Tuscarawas County area. The property is simply gorgeous from the drive in with the lights on the fenceline leading you in to Legacy to the setup of the hot tub, outdoor seating and everything there. Inside, the property is truly beautiful. The decor and furniture made it feel like staying at the beach. The hosts were truly wonderful and made the stay incredibly special.

Quiet getaway

This place was so beautiful !! The lighthouse was spectacular and so fun to go up all 3 floors. Sunrise and sunset gave us beautiful pictures. The pond provided some relaxing fishing. My favorite was the swing and nice beeezes throughout the hot day. Every little touch was great. They have thought of everything here. So wonderful !!

Weekend getaway.

The property was Beautiful and peaceful. The lighthouse was very nice layout and enjoyed it. The only 2 issues we had was the bed was a little hard for our liking. Need like curtains on the windows in the master bedroom. With the sun coming through the windows and blinds it was hard to sleep. Other that it was a great time!

Wonderful stay

I had the pleasure of staying at the Legacy Lighthouse in Sugarcreek, Ohio and I must say, it was truly an exceptional experience. From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed with a few added details for my husbands birthday from the host . The atmosphere was peaceful and serene, with breathtaking views of the surrounding countryside. The accommodations were simply stunning - tastefully decorated, clean and spacious, with all the amenities and comforts one could ask for. From the very comfortable bed to the fully-equipped kitchen, every detail was thoughtfully designed for the optimal guest experience. Perhaps the most memorable part of my stay was taking in the stunning sunset from the lighthouse tower - an experience I will never forget. It was truly magical. Overall, I would highly recommend the Legacy Lighthouse to anyone looking for a memorable getaway in Ohio. The warm hospitality, pristine facilities and stunning location make it the perfect choice for a wonderful stay.
