Beautiful bright modern farmhouse with 4 bedrooms plus a bunk room/den with built in bunk beds and 3 full and 2 half baths situated on 10+ acres and only 2 miles from the Village of Stowe. Views of Stowe Mountain Resort from the house and grounds. The Mountain's slopes and great mountain biking at Cady Hills Forest are minutes away. Enjoy the proximity to dining, shopping, the slopes, and tons of activities from the privacy of your own classic farmhouse in Vermont.

From your own backyard, you can hike, mountain bike, cross country ski, or snowshoe from your own backyard as there are trails directly from the property. If you must, you could also work from home with high speed internet, a fully automatic standing desk, and serene backgrounds for your Zoom calls. However you spent your day, come back to this farmhouse and whip up something delicious in the fully equipped kitchen with a professional gas range, cozy up to the wood burning fireplace or kick back in the Adirondack chairs at the fire pit or on the covered porch admiring the expansive private mountain views or gaze at the stars when you realize vacation is best spent relaxing.

The house has hardwood floors, stone, and tile throughout. Enter through the large mudroom into the main house which is composed of a living room (with a 55 inch flatscreen and a wood-burning fireplace), dining room (seats 8-10), eat in kitchen, and a half bath on the main floor. Upstairs finds a master bedroom (with en suite bathroom, television, and walk in closet) and 2 additional bedrooms with a shared bathroom between.
The attached converted barn has a bunk room/den with a 60 inch OLED television on the main floor with a half bath. Up a separate staircase is a private guest suite with full en suite bathroom. The barn section of the house can be closed off from the main house making it perfect for children, family or guests. Full-size washer and dryer to clean all your gear located in the basement.

Approximately 3 hours drive from Boston, 3.5 hours drive from Hartford, 4 hours drive from Providence, and 6 hours drive from NYC.

This is a family home. We do not allow parties or any type of social events on the property.

Fantastic house for us and our friends to use as home base for all the different things to do in the area. Having the barn to use for our eight bikes was a plus. Spent every night sitting outside by the fire watching the stars and listening to the owls. House was well stocked and very comfortable with plenty of room for all of us. Stowe mountain house retreat

Me and my family had a fantastic time staying at this beautiful property. Location to town was a short drive so we were close enough to visit restaurants and skiing without being too far away. House was spacious and perfect for all ages. Multiple hangout spaces to be alone or together! It had everything you could need and more - tv, games, books, views, etc. Loved the snowy views from all windows. Would love to return for another stay!

Fantastic Base for Exploring Stowe Area

Clean, well appointed house that comfortably accommodated our two families of two parents and two kids. Quiet location with beautiful views; easy access to mountain biking. Convenient location to town of Stowe, nearby cafe, and attractions between I-89 and Stowe. Games and jigsaw puzzles provided. Perfect communication with host. Highly recommend and would stay again!

Family gathering site with a view

Fantastic house with great view in a secluded area near Stowe. Our family, ages 11 to 83, enjoyed exploring Stowe village, hiking to Moss Glen Falls, visiting Smugglers Notch, picking apples and a factory tour of Ben & Jerry’s plus family meals prepared in the roomy kitchen and served in the more than adequate dining area. Tween and teen cousins enjoyed sharing the bunk house while three couples each had a private sleeping area.

Beautiful Property

We couldn't have been more pleased with the house. The location was peaceful but still convenient for shopping and restaurants. Everything was just as promised. The best living room we've ever had in a vacation rental for our group of six and I'm very jealous of the built in bookcases in the living room. We had a small problem which was our fault and George had it taken care of in less that 10 minutes. Thanks for everything!

Wonderful stay.

Place was wonderful, roomy, clean and well equipped. Area was secluded and quiet. Best to arrive while there is daylight so you can get there much more easily and appt the home. Overall. My friends and I had a great time and maybe 20 minutes or so from town. Would recommend.

Perfect Girlfriend Getaway

My college girlfriends of 34 years chose Stowe, Vermont as our annual destination this year. We all loved the VRBO Farmhouse and were not disappointed. So charming, well stocked, with absolutely breathtaking views. The location was close to everything while having a countryside feel. We all left trying to figure out when we can return again.

Multi-family hangout

The house was great for our 2-family hangout. It had places for smaller groups to gather separately as well as places for the full group including the big dining room. Tech (wifi, TVs, etc.) was great - it was easy for multiple groups to watch movies and for people to check-in on their work remotely. We had an awesome time.

We had a wonderful getaway in this lovely home. Great location to explore Stowe’s outdoor activities and town. And wonderful place to return after an adventure. Amazing house!

This has got to be the best large vacation house my family and I have ever rented for a family reunion! We absolutely loved our stay there and didn't want to leave. Everything was extremely clean and all the furniture was new, comfortable, and totally fit the feel of this modern farmhouse. We loved that it wasn't a completely open concept design (with a separate kitchen, dining room and living room and extra private space in the bunk room). This gave our large group plenty of space to spread out. But when we wanted to be all together for dinner, the huge solid wood dining table and the breakfast table right next to it easily fit everyone! The kitchen was very well equipped and there were plenty of good quality plates and silverware. I thought I'd miss not having a kitchen island with bar seating, but found that the breakfast table was actually even more comfortable and useful! The views from the kitchen and the breakfast area were so peaceful that we just wanted to sit there all the time. Outside space was super nice and secluded. The fire pit was a total hit as well, lots of marshmallows were consumed! We loved the mountain views, the sunsets, walking and biking around the neighborhood, watching fireflies, and just relaxing. Thank you!

Beautiful, peaceful home in Stowe

Our family was looking to get away for some quality family time and to explore Stowe. George’s property was exactly what we needed! Beautifully updated in modern farm house style, it has both charm and simplicity. Everything was clean and comfortable, and we used the helpful welcome book often for recommendations. There is a lovely view and we enjoyed using the porch deck and fire pit. The location to town was ideal. We felt tucked away on a rural hill, but could be on the main loop around Stowe in just minutes. We would absolutely recommend this stay to others and hope to be back!
