Hotel was beautiful & the room was perfect. Incredible view of mountains. Beautiful interior & the bathroom was outstanding. Very easy access to both Mansfield & Spruce Peak. Skiing conditions were fantastic & easy to navigate both mountains. Complimentary parking was in a garage which was great, but it was a bit of a walk to get to. Other issue was check-in. I knew there would be a line since everyone was checking in at 4:00PM but hotel should do better to staff front desk at this time. Not all computers were being used & it was a 10 to 15 minute wait which was disappointing & could have been avoided by adding staff. Also, hotel staff were not that friendly. There were a few during the day shift that were super nice but overall did not feel welcomed, etc. No one really smiled or said hello or good day. That's all it takes. Parking: We arrived early & knew that we would have to pay or go to one of the free lots. I inquired the whereabouts with the Valet & he only pushed the 'paid' parking areas. Only went I persisted in inquiring about FREE parking was I told how to get to the Toll House lot or Nordic Center. Same on our check out day. We were told it would be free at the hotel garage until 1:00PM & thereafter we would be charged if the car was not moved. When I inquired about FREE parking on our weekday departure day, only after I persisted did the staff advise of the free parking at Mansfield. Hotel should allow FREE on the last day but realize it may be space issue.
