The seclusion was all we hoped for. The things over and above like a big bag of ice in the freezer,cold bottled water, and a wood pile for campfires. The large wraparound porch was a nice place to relax. Everything we could have needed was there. We would go back in a heartbeat.

The rental we stayed in was everything as advertised. Very clean and quiet. It was very well supplied and well maintained. If we have the opportunity to return to Mark Twain Lake area, we will hope this home is available. Thanks for making our stay enjoyable and relaxing.

Awesome!
We stayed just 2 nights and even though it rained the entire 2nd day, we still had an awesome time. We hung out on the covered porch played games and watched the rain. They're is a small trail in the woods we walked behind house. It is the last house very secluded, we didn't have to worry as much about our small niece and she live riding her little push scooter on the deck. The house was well stocked other than I would suggest bringing grill utinsils we didn't find many and glad we brought ours. The price was great and would stay again.

Quiet get away
Nice, clean place far from the city, but internet!!! Close to the lake for fishing, boating and going to the beach. Beach not the greatest but was an experience for our 3 yr old grandson.

Perfect Spot for a quite weekend with family
We needed a long weekend at the water and were looking for something close to the lake for us, the kid and 2 dogs. It's a real quite place and you have a lot of place to move around. The cabin is spacious and has everything we needed. The host even provided bottled water and ice. It's a 8 min drive to the closest beach at Mark Twain Lake and about 25 min to the waterpark/larger beach. Perfect! The host is extremely responsive and we got good recommendations on what to do in the area. Really nice people! We will definitely be back!

Great Secluded Cabin close to a mark Twain lake
We had a fabulous visit and truly enjoyed our time at the secluded home by Mark Twain Lake. Definitely will consider coming back!

Fishing trip
Great place to stay for a fishing trip to Mark Twain Lake. Ramps close and outside plugs for boats. Quiet location great for hanging out with friends after a day of fishing.

Perfect fishing get away
Me, my dad, my buddy and his dad stayed here for a weekend of fishing. A few boat ramps and bait shops within a very short distance. Big cul-de-sac gravel lot made it easy to turn the boat around. Electric on the pole right near the boat made it easy for charging. The house was meticulously clean, plenty of space for us and the covered front porch made for a great hang out spot. We'll definitely be back!

Peaceful retreat
We stayed with family 6 adults in total and enjoyed the peaceful outdoors. We cooked almost all of our meals over the firepit, one in bbq grill. Clean quiet and welcoming!

No Detail Was Spared
Outstanding property with no detail spared. Tranquil setting with privacy, comfortable covered porch, gas grill, and great fire pit ready to light & stacked with dry wood. Perfect property for visitors with dogs with plenty of room for them to run. Aside from amenities listed, kitchen was stocked with paper towels, foil, wraps, garbage bags, basic spices. Plenty of games & Dish network TV. Suggest shopping for essentials in advance, as closest groceries are 10 min away. No wi-fi currently, though not the fault of owners, prepare for limited cell phone reception, which is perfect excuse to be "off the grid" while enjoying your getaway. Would return here without hesitation.

Better than advertised.
The place was perfect for five old guys continuing an annual trip tradition. The covered front porch was the most common gathering spot, and the scenery beyond, though not spectacular, was woodsy an d quiet. We felt alone, being at least 100 yards to the next house. The house was extremely clean and well-stocked. We will definitely be back if our numbers remain at 5.

Exceptional Stay!
We had a great time at this property in Stoutsville. It's out in the country on a beautiful piece of property that is impeccably maintained. The property is actually nicer than the online pictures present. A roof has been added over the front porch which makes a great place to sit and enjoy the outdoors. The inside of the house was absolutely spotless and well stocked with everything we needed for a pleasant stay. Communication with the owner was excellent. Access to Mark Twain Lake is quick and convenient and the town of Hannibal is within reasonable travel distance. I would recommend this property to friends and family without hesitation.

Girls weekend getaway
I stayed here with my college roommates. Very nice location, perfect little cabin for 8 adults. Nice accommodations, clean towels, linens, dishes, etc. The property owner was very responsive and helpful. I texted and called him frequently throughout our visit and was always quick to respond and was very helpful, even provided us with suggestions for hiking trails in the area. Would recommend staying here.

Great house where you can get away
We stayed at this home with our family. We have 3 teenagers. The house was GREAT!! There was room for everyone. The kitchen is very well stocked with just about anything you need to cook. There is a gas grill which made cooking dinner so much easier. The firepit is so neat. it is big and could accommodate a large group (I would say 10-15 people). Scott was such a great host. He responded to a couple of my dumb questions in literally less than a minute each time. He had yard games set out for us. The place is about 20 minutes from any of the 3 surrounding towns. The State park is about the same distance. The marinas are about 20 minutes away. We would stay here again. The weather did not cooperate so our time outdoors was limited, but it had nothing to do with the house or Scott as a host. I would recommend this place.
