«If you're looking for a historic home with beautiful yard & kitchen, views of the water, and convenient access to Castine, this spot is wonderful. Host does live on property in attached building and there were several unexpected rules like quiet hours & no access to heat or fireplaces (September gets quite chilly at night!) which made the stay feel a little less special. However, overall great experience and an excellent choice if looking for local historic flavor in Castine.»

«Th property host is excellent at sending communication and responding back to you. Super clean property. Cost is very reasonable. You can easily drive to several locations in the Islands in Maine. Bucksport is only 15 mins in the opposite direction where you can get food, groceries, there is a CVS pharmacy should you need it and if your kids really want McDonalds that is there as well. But there is a Steak house just up the road, there are 2 traditional Dairy Isle type restaurant w seafood ...

«The location of the property was amazing right on the lake! The cabin was rustic but very clean and decorated well. The only problem is that bathroom is small. The shower is average but the reminder of room is extremely small and is a little difficult to maneuver . Only recommendations would be to have screens in all the windows and a coffee table for the living room area. Would definitely stay here again!»
