Based on the pictures I have expected a much nicer hotel / stay. I did not feel welcomed by the staff, morning when arrived for breakfast, hardly any food and drink left. No refill. I had to ask for still water as well. The room looked extremely dated. The walls were dirty. It was a very basic hotel which I found expensive after all.

Hotel was nice and in decent condition. Check in was at the restaurant next door so that was a little confusing at first.

Room is basic but comfortable, but close by pub and restaurant were both great to sit after driving but before bed, nice communal space, checks was easy although in the pub and could be confusing for others, there are signs. Beds comfy but firm, which I liked.

La cercanía del Castillo Stirling, imprescindible visitarlo. Pub agradable aunque uno se tiene que acostumbrar a las horas de cenar, la cocina cierra a las 20:30, Las habitaciones espaciosas y limpias, no para pasar la prueba del algodón, pero suficiente. El Personal súper agradable. Desayuno continental y posibilidad de probar el desayuno escodes delicioso.

I really don't understand how this hotel managed a 'very good' rating and was more expensive than some in the area. On arrival, the weather was atrocious (not their fault, I admit!) and i had to wait outsude in the wind and rain as I sent my son to run across the road to where reception was, in the pub. You might think that for somewhere that quite often suffered from the elements that they might offer some protection from the rain or had a reception on the same premises as the bedrooms. The corridors and stairs to the room were scuffed and battered with ailing carpets and chipped walls. The room itself was warm and clean enough but there were no net curtains which meant that during the daytime you had to have the heavy curtains closed since the room looked directly onto the car park outside and the houses opposite had a rooms eye view. And something i probably wouldn't mention if everything else had been ok, but the TV only had 5 channels and kept glitching every 20 mins for a second. Not what you want when you're stuck indoors because of the weather. There's nowhere else to go nearby, either other than the Asda across the road.

What a fantastic location,the whole stay was Excellent,food was very good and the room was fantastic we had a super stay. The park and ride service to get into the city s a very short walk away....Brilliant

Very clean but off beaten track from city so really a car ideal but I like walking so no issue even in pouring rain. Room well equipped. Only gripe was one housekeeping staff member shouted you can't have a dog. I have a assisted dog and had already informed prior to booking. To easy for staff to think you broke rules when in fact I had told them. It did not help my anxiety with this reaction!!! Due to this I will not be back. The on duty manager said same thing as I walked in door which again if notes are read prior to someone coming in then it would mean you know your customer! Nice bar and other housekeeping member I spoke with was lovely

This is the third time I have stayed at this hotel and it's fantastic. Clean, convenient and straight off the motorway. The staff in the pub/restaurant are fantastic, and the food and service is too class. This is why this is my third stay in 4 years. Just as good every time! Thanks

The stay itself was ok and good value for money. Meal was good enough however breakfast in the other hand was q complete shambles. Waited qtleast 10 mins for someone to comw to front of house for us to be seated. Had to swap seats at the table as the ones at the table were unclean and very stained fabric. Then when breakfast arrived a few items that were meant to be on the order were missing whicb we had to wait to ask for qgain as no staff readily qvailable. Some of the items that wer wavaolable were rock solid possibly over cooked i the fryer??

Easily located near Stirling, accommodation is separate from restaurant creating a quiet secure atmosphere. Rooms are clean and perfect for short stay with all you expect in modern hotel.
