Relaxing getaway
We had a wonderful stay. Everything was clean and kitchen was well stocked. Nice lake views and we loved the screened in porch. Although bugs weren’t an issue while we were there because of the time of year, the screened in area was nice and probably even better when the temps are warmer. We also loved being able to bring our dogs! Thanks for a great stay!!

Hidden Gem On Lake Eufala
This was definitely one of the top VRBOs I’ve stayed in. The property was beautiful and the attention to details in the cabin were top notch accommodations. Everyone’s rooms were perfect for our family’s needs and we really liked the layout of the downstairs area and two outside decks. The open air porch on the side of the kitchen was also perfect spot to enjoy the views. The kitchen was incredibly stocked with everything needed and all the extra touches made it the perfect place to sit around and enjoy our family time. I would highly recommend this cabin to a large family looking to spend some specials moments together.

Amazing place - great family vacation!
We had an awesome stay! It was a last reunion trip for our six adult kids before they launch into the next chapter of their lives. The house was immaculately clean, super comfortable with lots of extras, and with just the right mix of private space and community space. It was located right on the water so we had tons of time playing and fishing. The only negative (if I had to name one) was just a a bit too many security cameras. We completely understood the need for security but it made some of our group a little uncomfortable. There were none inside of course, but with the porches and decks as the most popular location to hang out we just felt a little too monitored/watched. Not a big deal, but something that might be adjusted to make a close-to-perfect place even more perfect. Overall a wonderful stay and one we’d highly recommend!

I appreciate your observation about the security cameras. And your concern is noted. We offer our guests secluded and luxurious accommodations and we respect our guests privacy. We have the security cameras to protect our guests and our property. The cameras are directed towards all the all exterior access points of the lodge. There are no cameras inside. Thankfully, we have never needed to rely on the cameras.

Amazing Vacation Spot!
This was a well-earned 5 star rating! The Owners were extremely welcoming and full of info before our trip. The home itself was AWESOME. Beautiful view from different angles (open porch, enclosed patio, water’s edge, etc.). We had 9 people with us including a couple of 9yr old boys, couple of 18yr old girls and adults - everyone had plenty of space, privacy and a blast. We HIGHLY recommend vacationing here!

Perfect Spring Break Getaway with Family and Friends
We were blown away with this estate for our two families. Absolutely stunning. The kids had the most incredible time running around the property playing tag, making smores in the gigantic fire pit, getting the kayaks and paddle boards out in the quiet cove, fishing from the dock with easy access to the boat slip, and so much more. Too many fantastic things about this place to name. We are all excited to back!

This beautiful house was large enough for our friend group of 6 to have plenty of space, while enjoying the lovely views of the lake. The neighborhood is extremely quiet, and it’s only a short walk down to the lake. Very responsive owners too. Really enjoyed our stay!

Karl's Birthday
The place was just perfect for our family to celebrate Karl's 60th birthday! Ample space for us all to have a relaxing and comfortable weekend. Everything we needed was on site and the kitchen was amazing!!! Boat slip was a big hit with the fishermen in the family! It was a wonderful celebration! Amazing stay
The property is beautiful and the lake is great but the owners went above and beyond to make this a most memorable stay. They knew we had a daughter with medical issues and did absolutely everything they could to make our stay successful. Beautiful views and lovely (very accommodating and clean) home. Relax!
Amazing house with spectacular views! House is large and beyond equipped for our time there! Tons of space for us to roam. Host leaves very detailed info on the house. Getting to the dock is a challenge. Lots of steps, although wood steps are built to provide stopping points. The dock is just for boats - no larger area for swimming or chairs to layout. No complaints, just an FYI. It's a property that we will definitely keep on our list!

Peaceful and fun
Cute cabin with fun lake toys to use off dock that is several steps down from the house. Has a small beach area to enter. We stayed during the week so only saw a couple other boats the entire time. Made it peaceful and comfortable with a bunch of kids. View from back porch was beautiful! Communication was great with owner.

One of the nicest properties we have ever VRBO’d. All of the little things that you forget to pack are onsite. They literally had everything you would need. We felt at home within minutes of being there. The owners had amazing and quick communication. Would definitely stay here again!

Beyond Words!
All that you could want - views, accommodations, very cozy! The Nixons provided a total retreat. We have stayed there twice (summer and fall) now, and we continue to be in love with this piece of paradise!

The views from the lodge were breathtaking! Amanda was so helpful before, during and after the rental of her beautiful lodge. She had it equipped with everything you could possibly need to accommodate your stay. We can hardly wait til our return in October!

Easter and Birthday celebration
Gorgeous cabin and property. We explored, swam, paddle boarded(supplied by owner), cooked in a top notch kitchen, vegged out on one of many couches, slept so well in comfy beds and overall just had a great experience. Beautiful porches to hang out on and watch the happenings on the lake. Lots of board games provided as well as any glassware or dish you could need. They even had dishes for our dog! 2main refrigerators and a restaurant style ice maker made it easy to store our foods. Would love to go back.

The homeowners are amazing and helpful!
The weather became a problem for our reservation, and the owners were so helpful with changing our dates. The property is gorgeous and my husbands 50th birthday was a success! I highly recommend staying here! We definitely will come back and enjoy the view!

This home is amazing with its beautiful view and comfortable furnishings. The owners have thought of every detail. We enjoyed spending family time preparing our meals in the gourmet kitchen and telling stories and roasting marshmallows around the oversized fire pit. What a true treasure and blessing this was!!

Great family getaway!
This house was wonderful! The view from the deck was fantastic and a great place to enjoy morning coffee and a glass of wine in the evening! There is a grill, fire pit, all the pot/pans/skillets needed to cook our meals. 2 bedrooms upstairs and 2 downstairs. Our family had a wonderful, relaxing time and our girls have already commented they would like to return.

Vista Estrella
We had an awesome time at the Vista Estrella lake house. We are so pleased that we chose this house to stay in and are thankful to the Nixon’s. They have everything you could possibly need and have an inviting home. We loved the close proximity to the lake to use our boat constantly. We were able to park an 18ft pontoon boat in the driveway with no issues. We did have to clean out spider webs in the screened patio which wasn’t fun, but other than that, the stay was immaculate! Thank you so much for the experience and we will be back for sure.

Thank you for taking the time to write such a detailed review. We try to eradicate the spider webs on the exterior decks, and screened porch, but those industrious spiders can build webs overnight. Only suggestion is to clean the carpet area better. And suggest to bring your own blankets and pillows. Amazing place to stay with lot of nature and sound. well maintained. Perfect for bbq, you can see deer in the night. good for trecking. overall amazing experience.

Thank you for your lovely compliment that you had "an overall amazing experience," and your gracious 5 stars review. We also appreciate your suggestions on how we can improve. We take any suggestions for improvement very seriously. We have a few throw and area rugs by doorways, in bedrooms and living rooms, otherwise we have slate, wood and travertine floors. We strive to keep everything super clean and vacuumed and I apologize that the rug wasn't as clean as it should have been. I have already advised our housekeeper to really focus on the rugs in light of your suggestion. We wash our bedding blankets and comforters regularly and provide throw blankets for indoor and outdoor use by the fire pit or while sitting on the decks. We only ask our guests to please wash any throw blankets that are used outside. We have a full size washing machine and provide washing machine detergent. We also provide durable, firm foam pillows with zip-on covers, and pillow cases, and additional pillows of different firmness in the closet. It is hard to satisfy all guests' personal pillow preferences, but we try to meet those needs. We really appreciate the remaining positive comments. Thank you for allowing us to host your group.

Perfect house for a large family
This was the perfect house for our family get-together over the Thanksgiving holiday! The kitchen is very well furnished and the house is nicely decorated and extremely comfortable. We also really appreciated being able to bring our dogs with us! Unfortunately, it rained during our rental so we didn’t get to enjoy the outdoors as much as we had hoped, but the house is very close to the lake and it would be a lot of fun to return on a warm, sunny day.

Awesome place to get away and be together!
The Nixon home is simply beautiful - the decor is high end, but very comfortable. Some highlights for us: a great kitchen for cooking while still all being together (at the great table or counter bar), the back deck for coffee and quite peaceful mornings, 99 stairs to the water makes for some great exercise, the cove where the cabin is located is so peaceful and perfect for paddle boarding, the living room was perfect for everyone to sit around and play games, the dinner table was narrow which made for a more intimate setting for conversation and eye to eye conversation with our kids and their friends. Amanda was very responsive (i.e. 9 PM "Hi - do you have a cupcake pan?" Minutes later, "No but look in cabinet for cake pan"). The home had everyone you need - Keurig machine stocked with coffee, awesome classes for beer and cocktails & awesome cubes in the freezer, bathrooms stocked with great products to use, kitchen has everything (well except cupcake pan :-) ). There is not much around town, we brought all the groceries in and really never left. Marina is a bit far away, so would be better to have a boat, but was not really an issue. We would highly recommend this home! Thank you Nixons for making your home available.

Amazing Views
Our family did a summer get away here. The property was clean and well maintained. We thoroughly enjoyed the balcony with the view of the lake and sitting around the awesome fire pit at night roasting marshmallows. It was so relaxing and had everything you could want on hand as well. We did have one small hiccup in our stay, but the owner was prompt in responding and correcting the situation. I would recommend this place if you have a large family and are looking for a relaxing getaway.

Great Cabin
Four of us spent the weekend here in late May 2019. This is one of the best laid-out floor plans for a cabin I've seen. Everything was of highest quality; the dogs had a great time in the lake. I would recommend this to anyone and I'm envious of the owners! It is very well equipped. But what really makes this cabin so spectacular is all of the deck space - it is awesome!
