Great house! It felt like home. Very close to the downtown area and easy to get around. My dogs enjoyed the yard and deck.

The property was clean, good for pets and conveniently located. Wish there was more parking, but that was listed on the listing and you can park on the street.

The house was very clean and well furnished. Beds were comfortable and bathrooms were very clean. The house was accessible to downtown and had good restaurants close by. The host was very responsive and forgiving after my grandson accidentally broke a dish that was under a pot. I highly recommend this place if you are staying in Staunton.

The house was cozy, comfortable, and very clean. We felt right at home. The host even provided coffee, which was much appreciated. Nice quiet street, convenient to everything.

Antique Hunters

A great place to stay in Staunton for those people that are hitting all the Antique outlets in the area. Very clean house and easy access to major highways. Owners were super polite and helpful!

New Year's Eve

We stayed in the area for NYE because it was mid way between family homes. We really like the home and would totally stay there again. Easy close drive to downtown Staunton.

Simple comfort

This house offered everything we needed. Very cute. The beds were a little on the small side for men over 6’ but we made it work. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Adorable Home

I was so grateful to find a home that would work for my family and our dogs. Location was great for a weekend visit to JMU. The home is very clean and well stocked. The owner is very responsive.

Weekend stay on Calvert Street

4 adults stayed here last weekend. The house was clean, had all the necessities, well stocked kitchen for stay at home meals. The house is in a great location, has character and charm. We would come back

When we reported an issue with the hot water (late at night) the Host was very responsive. The hot water issue improved but we discovered we couldn’t shower at the same time and still needed to be quick or the hot water ran out. The home advertised 2 queen beds but there was only one. The beds are too soft and kind of sink in the middle. We also encountered a number of dead flies and stink bugs.

Great spot to explore Staunton!

The house was perfect for my friends and me. We were in town for a wedding, and it was the perfect location to easily get to the wedding venue as well as downtown Staunton. Phillip could not have been more helpful. The house was clean and had everything we could need. Highly recommend!

Overall, we had an enjoyable stay. The home was clean when we arrived, and the kitchen was well equipped.Unfortunately, there were several issues. The bed information was inconsistent across VRBO, Airbnb, and even the welcome book. Before booking, I emailed the owner and was told there were, "in one bedroom there is a queen bed. Another bedroom there is a queen bed. The third one there is a double bed or a full-size bed". In reality, the home has 1 queen bed and 2 full-size beds. Accurate bed information is essential, especially for adults or taller guests.All three mattresses were worn out and sagged noticeably in the middle, making for an unpleasant night of sleep. 1 of the full-size beds also creaked and squeaked with the slightest movement, making it extremely difficult to sleep.The property is pet friendly and charges an additional pet cleaning fee, but we were met with a urine-like odor when we opened the front door. Given the additional cleaning fee, we expected the home to be free of lingering pet odors.Guests are also instructed to return the key to the lockbox each time they leave. Unfortunately, the lockbox is worn out and took multiple attempts to open every time. Replacing it with a newer combination lockbox would make access much easier.The home has potential and correcting the bed information, replacing the mattresses, addressing the odor, and installing a new lockbox would greatly improve the guest experience.

Great Family Space

Wonderful time visiting with family. The host was very accommodating when I asked to check in early so we could start prepping for Thanksgiving. My only negative comments are that the kitchen isn’t super well-equipped. ( For example, not a lot of sharp knives, and very few large spoons.) And the location, though convenient, is right next to a major road and is not much of a neighborhood. But overall it’s a great place to stay and is walkable into town.
