Lake view home with water access

Although this home was remodeled recently it still maintains that Maine country, cottage feel. With pine cathedral ceilings, open concept, a stone fireplace that’s been converted to electric for convenience and a loft that boast a cozy comfortable place to sleep for up to 4* people. The first floor master bedroom has a newly constructed balcony where you can sit and relax and catch the last rays of sunshine for the day.
There is also a full size futon on the main floor that sleeps 2*
The kitchen has new appliances and cupboard and all you need to cook for your family.
The front lawn offers a fireplace, a large play area, and abuts a quiet dirt road.

Escape to this lovely 2-bedroom Standish retreat. Unwind in the serene living room with views of the beautiful Watchic lake. Enjoy the convenience of WiFi, a hair dryer, washer, dryer and dishwasher during your stay.

Fire up the grill on the spacious wrap-around deck and enjoy dinner with a view, then wind down the evening with cozy conversations around the fire pit making memories under the stars.

Just a short walk from the property, launch the canoe or kayaks for a peaceful paddle on the lake perfect for exploring nature and soaking in the serenity.

This home has a flight of stairs to access it however we can offer an electric stairlift if needed.

This house is well maintained and we pride ourselves on cleanliness.

The owners respond quickly to their guest needs.

This is our second time staying at this lovely home and it was even more memorable with all my little ones. I was able to have wonderful star gazing with a fire going in the fire pit and had enough space for the kiddos to run around. The house was as described, clean and cozy. The lake was less than 5 minute away with kayaks and fishing equipment provided. Thank you to Susan and Raymond for the great hosting.

We were so pleased with our stay here! Everything was very clean, the location was perfect and the hosts were so friendly and accommodating. It was exactly what we were looking for. Unfortunately, we didn't have time to use the kayaks or grill, or have a fire in the fire pit, but it was awesome they were available! We'd definitely recommend staying here!

Cute little house. You can see the lake from the house and there was a canoe we paddled out on the lake.Nice deck with grill and firepit in the yard. Only downside was closeness to the main road. A bit loud at times

5 Star Stay!!

Lovely place, easily convenient to whatever you want to go on southern Maine, Portland area! Beautifully appointed to make it a home away from home. Plus lots of wonderful additions like coffee and hot coco bar, a s'mores box with fire wood for that summer evening bonfire. A special place hosted by a very responsive host. ... You will not go wrong with this decision!!

Beautiful home with lots of space and privacy. Just a walk away from Watchic Lake - peaceful and relaxing location. Minus the construction going on on the main roadway, no complaints about the home or additional features on property. Would definitely recommend!

Fall Foliage in the Northeast

It was absolutely perfect! Easy access to Portland, Freeport and to North Conway, NH. Accommodations were just right for our family of four. Great communication with the property manager. Would definitely come back!

Camp by Watchic Lake

Great stay. Home was super clean and nicely updated. Beds were comfortable. The lake access is just a few minute walk down a dirt road. Kayaking was excellent. There is even a small view of the lake from the deck which was a nice surprise. Fire pit was wondering to sit and relax and the end of the day. Would recommend!

A great relaxing stay!

This was our first Vrbo experience and this property made it a good one! We had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The attention to detail by the owner did not go unnoticed. We loved our adventure out on the lake in the kayaks. There is a small turtle habitat just off the main lake, which can be enjoyed right from the water. The fire pit was a great way to spend an evening after getting back from the beach. We cooked most of our meals in the house and had everything we needed. The sleeping surfaces were a bit on the small side, though I am 6'2. I found it best to sleep on the futon diagonally, but would have brought an air mattress if I went again. The property is nice enough that I wouldn't mind that. Thank you for a great stay.

Amazing Lake house!

My husband and our two daughters spent the week in this wonderful lake house. The location is perfect, the home itself has been recently remodeled into an ideal Maine vacation getaway. The communication from the owner was always prompt, and thoughtful. We loved the fire pit, the coffee bar, and our daughters favorite the smores box! 10/10 without a doubt! Would definitely rent again!

Nice & cozy house, just a few minutes from the lake

We had a great time staying at this property. It seemed to be recently renovated and it was super clean when we arrived. The coffee bar was such a wonderful idea. The kids enjoyed using the two kayaks, too bad there was no canoe in the property. Overall, we were very pleased with our choice and we recommend this property, especially for families with kids.

Family in Maine

Our family enjoyed the A-frame house. Perfect for the five of us. Kayaking just a short walk to the boat ramp was fun. Well stocked kitchen for cooking family meals together was great fun. Shirt drives to Sebago, Orchard Beach, Kennebunk and Portland. The Alagash Brewery tour was enjoyed plus outstanding lobster rolls. Great time had by all.

Excellent rental

Enjoyed our week stay with 1 infant, 1 toddler, 1 kindergarten aged kid, 2 aunts and the uncle ;) Plenty of space for 2 families. Wall mount retractable gate by stairs was thoughtful for crawling baby. Circuit blew while using oven and 2 burners but quick call back by owner. It'd be great to have an instruction manual with property, like many other rentals I've stayed at. Could include things like how to get to lake access, location of breaker box, how the remote controls for the ceiling fans also control lights, how to use fireplace, etc.

Needs more of a description .

Great house hands down greatly remodeled. Fresh and clean can’t say anything bad about that . The lake access is PUBLIC which means there are little kids running around you in the morning when you’re trying to enjoy your coffee by the lake . No signage of where to go on the way down to the “lake” I put quotes because the length of the beach was 8 maybe 9 feet across . No pictures on their site to show you how small it is . Very mucky lake maybe 4 feet out until it’s all muck . Just know when you stay here in the summer you’re better off going to another public lake area because this one was not great .

Stay Here Now!

This rental has an amazing sense of detail by the owners and is so comfortable to stay in! Great place for a couple or a family of 5, like us. Newly remodeled home with great features; from the coffee bar to the s’mores box, the fire pit, the deck, the lighting, the kayaks. You can’t go wrong here! Lake access is a short tenth of a mile and the lake is so nice! Can’t say enough good things about Raymond and Susan’s rental. Property manager, Carrie was easy to contact, responsive and helpful.
