How far is it to get to the Beach?
Sugar Beach: A mere 5-minute stroll away.
Coki Beach: Either a 15-minute walk or a quick 7-minute drive.
Lindqvist Beach: Just a 5-minute drive.
Sapphire Beach: Accessible within a 6-minute drive.
Secret Harbor Beach: A short 10-minute drive.
Megen’s Beach: Approximately 15 minutes by car.
Guests could rent a car to enjoy as many beautiful beaches on St. Thomas and St. John. There is free parking at the resort. Guests can park at the Lower Parking Lot which is conveniently steps from the villa. The public Safari bus route stops in front of the resort entrance for a budget-friendly transportation option. The Safari makes stops around the island and provides sort of a mini-tour of the island and a chance to get to know some of the local islanders while commuting together! A taxi stand is located near the Front Desk for immediate availability to get you to your next daily island beach adventures!

A Few Things to Know Before You Book:
🌿 Island Life Comes with Stairs
Our villa is perched on a scenic hillside, which means stunning views—and stairs! All walking paths to pools, restaurants, and the lobby include natural stone or concrete steps. Please be sure you’re comfortable with stairs during your stay.
⚡ Power & Water Outages Can Happen
St. Thomas relies on island-wide diesel generators, and occasional power outages do happen—sometimes lasting just 10 minutes, sometimes a few hours. During an outage, the water system also shuts off temporarily. This means there may be no running water and toilets won’t flush as normal.
But don’t worry—we’ve stocked Gallon water under the bathroom sink for you to pour into the toilet tank if needed for manual flushing. It’s not glamorous, but it’s manageable! We truly appreciate your flexibility with these unique aspects of island life.
(Note: While the villa does not have a backup generator yet—coming in 2025!—the restaurants, lobby, and Captains Lounge on property do have power during outages.)
🚗 Getting Around
We recommend renting a car to explore the island on your own schedule (just remember, driving is on the left). Taxis—also called “safaris”—are widely available if you’d rather not drive.
🏡 Private Villa = No Hotel Services
This is a private vacation rental—not a hotel. There’s no daily housekeeping, concierge, or turndown service. But you will have a thoughtfully curated home base to relax and enjoy at your own pace!
🌀 Travel Insurance Strongly Recommended
As private hosts, we’re unable to offer refunds for weather events, airline cancellations, or health emergencies. We highly recommend purchasing “cancel for any reason” travel insurance to protect your plans.
🌦️ Heads-Up: August–November is Hurricane Season
These months are beautiful and breezy—but tropical weather can roll through. If a named storm causes the St. Thomas airport to shut down, we’ll issue a full refund. However, if your travel is impacted by weather in other locations (like connecting airports), we’re unable to offer refunds—so insurance is your best safety net.
If you’re already on island and a storm hits, our villa is not a storm shelter. You’ll need to check out for your safety, and we’ll gladly refund the unused nights.
