We had a great stay at Flamboyan! They were very friendly and accommodating. Our rooms were comfortable and had wonderful views of Magen’s Bay. The steel pan entertainment by Andrew Douglas during dinner was wonderful. I would love to stay again.

We enjoyed the restaurant and coffee shop. Very good food and drinks. Friendly staff, easy check in/out. Our room was quite nice, great view of Magen's Bay.

I had the most AMAZING stay at Flamboyan!! I read all the reviews before booking and can confirm the following: 1. Wanda at the front desk is an angel on earth, period!! The rumors are all true, she'll take very good care of you with genuine love, patience, and kindness. 2. The property was definitely extra special in its hey day and it shows its age today, but it can be extra great again with just a little TLC. Overall, I'm excited to come back here the very next time I'm on the island, and I plan to ask for the same room because it was beautifully situated for optimum privacy, with the most incredible view of Magens Bay Beach. I'm almost 58 and took the leap of faith to walk down the mountain for the 1/2 mile walk to Magens one day, and I'll admit my ankles are still strained a week later. The oncoming traffic was really scary to navigate because of the tight corners and I had to cross the street to walk in the same direction as traffic several times to avoid being hit by cars coming around the blind mountain curbs. Just pay the cab fare if you're not young and fit, trust me! The bed was extremely comfortable, the linens were fresh and very clean, and the maid service was impeccable! I also thrived on the fresh coffee and breakfast items from Northside Grind every morning, and enjoyed great dinners and drinks at Root42, all without having to leave the grounds, so what's not perfect about staying at the Flamboyan??!! C'mon, see for yourself!

The property was decent, the staff was friendly , the pool was nice and the food at the restaurant was good. They were also very helpful in helping us to get transportation & the bed was very comfortable. Now what I didn’t like was that there were holes in the comforters on the bed and they were lacking entertainment like music etc like some of the other hotels had. There were a million stray cats on the property especially around the dining area which is very unsanitary and unsightly when you are trying to enjoy a meal. Not to mention a cat jumped on the table and opened my box of food and ate it while I was in the pool. The cats were waiting to be fed and some patrons were feeding them and I believe the host at the restaurant. I probably wouldn’t stay here again just because of the cats I was very turned off about their presence everywhere I turned on the property.

Our 2nd visit, safe, clean.,comfortable. Great Staff, very helpful. When there's 5 cruise ships in port it's a great place to chill with the bar,(Root 42) restaurant, coffee shop/deli/convenience store (Northside Grind) and pool/patio with great views of Magens Bay on property. Brooks Bar a short walk off property for local food and drinks. Save your Magens Bay trip for a day without cruise ships.

I loved the fact it didn’t look, feel or smell like a hotel. It was more homey than anything. My only complaint is that, 20 mins after being there the power & water went out due to there generator. Thankfully the kids were able to bath but I couldn’t at that moment and we just go in from a flight. Overall I Loved it didn’t want to leave

Stayed in villa. Very clean and plenty of space. A little dated, but good value for price. Staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful. Nice pool area and pool with nice view. About a 15 minute walk to Magens Bay. But paid for taxi ride up the hill. We did not have car. Would recommend car, or be prepared to pay for taxi’s which would add up quickly. There was a restaurant on property (good food, slow service) as well as coffee shop (very good). A couple of nearby restaurants within walking distance.

Power outage during entire stay. No alcohol or food. Pools were not circulating so stagnant. No refund or reduction in price. Management failed to notify us of this problem nor tried to find us alternative accommodations.

Beautiful views and nice pool and restaurant, our room was nice and spacious however the first night I had a cold shower with no water pressure and the next morning woke up to no water or electricity. We had booked four nights but checked out after one understandably.

My friend and I stayed for 7 days. Everyone there and on the island are super friendly. The restaurant on the resort was excellent. The gift shop wasn’t much and everything is expensive. The pool was nice and walking distance to the beach (about a mile on busy road). The two hot tubs were not working while we were there but I imagine those are nice at night. Definitely bring lots of sunscreen because it’s 28 dollars a bottle for SPF 30 at the resort.

The staff is very friendly and the 2 onsite restaurants are outstanding. Enjoyed both pools. The view of Magens Bay is great. Will stay again for sure. We rented a car and it way easy to find. Check in was easy.

I was disappointed at how poorly repaired it was. The fridge leaked and no water pressure in vanity faucets. Toilet very dirty and was not cleaned during our three days. Toilet also has some kind of leak and needed time to fill between flushe. All info in guest book has outdated prices. The beach was beautiful but expensive. We won't stay there again

The common areas and food was great! But the villas themselves were in poor condition. The linens were nice and the bed comfy but overall very dated. We do love the food though.

Flamboyan was a lovely resort to relax for our last night on the island before heading home. We enjoyed sitting in the hanging egg chairs by the pool with the beautiful views as well as walking down to Magens Bay. Having a nice breakfast cafe and dinner restaurant on the resort added to our relaxation. We were disappointed that the hot tub was not available for use during our stay. Also, if mobility is a concern, be sure to reserve a room on the reception desk level. Otherwise, negotiating stairs with your luggage will be a challenge. Overall, we enjoyed our stay. The staff were very nice.

Overall, we rate this property 5-Stars. We stayed in room 112 with a magnificent view of Magens Bay. The room was completely renovated with beautiful tile, artwork, furniture and a new balcony door. As an added plus, we arrived on NFL Divisional Championship Day and jumped for joy when we discovered an on premises Sports Bar. The property also features a great gourmet coffee shop. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We highly recommend this property with its close proximity to the best beach on St. Thomas.

Overlooking Megan’s bay, this place has 2 pools, a really good restaurant and bar, a coffee/breakfast place and either a walk or cab ride away, the most beautiful beach in the world. The room gave me Miami vibes and loved that the comfortable bed was raised on a platform area. Loved the cat sanctuary. The grey and white one sat on my lap, which is unusual!

I liked the common areas, however, the hot tub is not in any way a hot tub…it was more of a lukewarm tub…the restaurant was very good as was the coffee/breakfast shop. There are a LOT of steps at this resort, so be prepared to go up and down a lot. My room was just okay. I did not like that the door didn’t have a deadbolt or security chain. My friends were in the room next to me and their sliding door didn’t lock properly. This is a major security concern for women traveling alone. One hot tub is currently not working and this is also a cat sanctuary, so be prepared to see cats all over. I had to buy coral reef safe sunblock here and it was very expensive, so try to get it before you arrive on the islands. While I really enjoyed the restaurant food, it took forever for them to acknowledge us when we walked up each evening to be seated. And there was one older gentleman server who was too grumpy for someone who lives in the tropics. Overall, it was fine, but I’m not sure I would stay here again.
