We feel completely misled by SkyBeach Resort.
We booked four nights expecting a true beachfront resort with water views. After one night, we left and moved to another property because the experience did not match the price or expectations.
There was no meaningful water view — our room faced the marina and a red brick complex across from it. The property feels like a renovated motel being marketed as a resort. We were placed on the ground floor and could not open the blinds because people could see directly inside. There was no privacy, and the marina gates were not locked.
It was very noisy. The walls are thin, and you hear neighboring rooms and outside traffic. The hotel sits directly under a major highway, and outside noise carries into the rooms. It did not feel peaceful or safe.
Several basic things in the room did not work, including outlets and the coffee machine. There was a long line each morning at the only café, and no meaningful restaurants or amenities within walking distance. We were also charged a resort fee, which is hard to justify given the limited amenities.
The marketing does not match reality. Read recent reviews carefully before booking.
