Rommene var veldg slitte. Sovesofaen i oppholdsrommet var veldig vond å sove på. Det hadde kun én nøkkel til rommet vårt, litt uheldig da vi var tre generasjoner voksne som ikke alltid var sammen.

Var veldig skitten, svær død kakkelakk i skapet og masse små døde makker på gulvet. Skittne segklær. Positive var at det var nært til flott strand.

The positive: the view of the beach from our room was nice. The workers were friendly. The beds was very comfortable. The location was perfect and the beach was beautiful. The negative: the refrigerator didn’t work so we lost the perishables we had purchased. The desk person tried to give directions on how to get it working…pretty sure I knew more than he did. Then the refrigerator leaked water halfway across the room, and it stunk. The shades fell down when we tried to open them. The lock on the door wad almost impossible to open. The grounds were dumpy looking. I’m sure at one time they were great. Parking was a block down the street. Sidewalks were dangerously uneven and the walkway was littered with miscellaneous cleaning buckets, brooms, toilet brushes, etc. It didn’t look like anyone really cared about the place.

This property was so old, pictures looked good online but when we got there, the room was old, but clean as clean could be I guess. Still looked like stuff from the 70s. There were stains on furniture and it felt gross. The area is great and the beach is a few steps away which is great. Definitely an old beach motel with decor from the day it opened. Check in was good and everyone was nice.

Nice older renovated beach hotel, could use better cleaning methods no personal laundry onsite also full kitchen but no real cookware, plastic plates cups. Great people working there helpful nice. Beach Access great

2 words - Whata Dump. We found out they are tearing the place down in August and its obvious they are neglecting its current state. They should be ashamed of themselves for charging the current rate. Do yourself a favor and find another place to stay.

A retro gem if right next to the beach with a nice pool. Not a lot of bells and whistles if you need that kind of thing, but the front desk is always welcoming and it's a relaxing atmosphere.

Very nice staff. Room was spacious and clean. The king size bed was so comfortable. I hear they will be updating. Limited parking but extra parking was very close and covered. Look forward to returning again. Beautiful view of beach and oceans and beach very close.

Parking was a bit of an issue and walk to the beach was a ways to go. Not really ideal for those with physical challenges. Beautiful location. Nice pool. They are closing and rebuilding in August. We enjoyed the old florida charm.

The property is a vintage hotel and it shows. It’s outdated and needs repairs, updating and a thorough cleaning. People were nice and accommodating but the property left a bit to be desired.

Great Florida beach gem!
This hotel is classic Florida. A mom and pop place. All staff were friendly and helpful. Our TV didn’t work. Within 10 min we got another. It was clean relaxing, on the beach and boardwalk. We loved the retro beachside place as opposed to a huge, sterile high rise resort. Unfortunately the Sands sadly closes in August a victim of a corporate grab. The family will make money but they said it was bittersweet losing the property. We will miss it. It will remain a good memory of “old” classic Florida.

This is not the fanciest place to stay on the beach. Our first room was dirty and we needed to be changed to another room our second room was very clean very plain there is nothing fancy about this place. It is perfect for a couple days stay if you are on a budget and you want to be able to walk straight out to the beach. This facility really needs some updating and I would say the rooms really need to be upgraded in decor. I understand the hotel is 77 years old but for the location and price you pay to stay that hotel could have so much more potential. The best thing about this place is it's directly on the beach and that the front desk was available 24 hours so if I had any issues no matter the time the nice lady in the front was always there to help me. All the people that work ,pare all very nice and sweet, friendly. It's a little run down it really needs some TLC and I hope the owners read this and give that building what it needs cuz it could be a diamond in the rough. It would look 10 times better even with Dollar store decor. Those rooms could be made to look really cute. I didn't mind parking down the street it really is not that far like people like to act it's really close not far at all. I would stay here again but only if it was my last resort.

This property opened 77 years ago and has been in operation since then. It isn’t fancy and has some original features and fixtures. We’re only here for one night. We stayed here a year ago and hope to return in the future. It has enduring charm with a few modern conveniences.
