Hi Carol and thank you for the feedback. This breaks our heart you were this unsatisfied and would love the opportunity to make it right. When we messaged you 3 times during your stay and the day of departure, we used the VRBO app instead of calling you. For that I apologize and will are sure to text and call to ensure satisfaction just in case the guest wasn’t using the VRBO app. We would have done anything necessary if we would have been aware of any issue to ensure an unforgettable and perfect stay. We will make sure to label that the hall closet that is filled from floor to ceiling with large quantities of every type of towel. We leave several bath towels, hand towels and wash clothes in each bathroom prior to your visit and the rest in the hall closet. Thank you for the feedback on the sofa bed downstairs. We have never received a complaint about this but you bring up a great point. We will begin a process and ask those guests requiring the sofa bed prior to arrival if we can pull the bed out and have it made. I hope this will resolve this issue so our guests can focus on having an amazing trip. We are also willing to come to the home just to close the sofa bed at our guests request. We take a lot of pride in providing service and satisfaction for our guests that exceeds even the luxurious 5 star hotels. If it is something we can do, we will do it. No questions asked and with a smile on our face. This is why your negative experience has us so upset that we were unable to provide you with the highest level of service YOU DESERVE. We will do a better job ensuring a positive stay and get the opportunity to fix an issue right then and there. Especially for the towels, shampoo and soap. All of these items are in each bathroom in the cabinet. I understand your frustration not seeing the soap and shampoo and wanted to clarify we would never not have the items stocked in the home that we claim will be there. We will do a better job making sure all items are out and in the shower to prevent this in the future. Having our homes fully stocked well above and beyond what other homes is to provide our guests a piece of mind knowing when you choose one of our homes, any item you may need, our homes will have it available. If it is not there, we will pick it up and drop it off. We are so sorry to hear about your daughter and to hear she was discomforted at all with the stairs. The description does describe the stairs but we will go through it again to ensure it is very easy to find that there are about 8 stairs from the foyer to the upstairs. Regarding your guests that slept on the upstairs sofa, this is also a sofa bed. That’s horrible your guests came on a trip to find that a sofa is where they sleep. We have it on the description of the home and a separate description describing each room in the home. We will also make this easier to find that not only is there a sofa bed downstairs, but also upstairs as well that can be used. We appreciate the opportunity to respond to this and truly hope you can allow us the privilege to host you and your group again in one of our homes with no stairs. I have called you several times since this review was posted and VRBO has reached out as well so i can formally apologize for a negative stay and to make this right. If you feel comfortable with this, I would love to receive a call. I understand either way but we wanted you to know how apologetic we are and really do appreciate you choosing our home. Hi Barbara and thank you for the review. This review has definitely affected us and we are very upset to hear you did not have the highest quality of service with your reservation. We did have 3 cleaners and decorators come just for your stay to set up the Christmas decorations, Christmas tree and ensure the home over the top clean. We completely agree with you that there were several items that needed to be fixed and are being fixed as we speak. Thank you for notifying of this. The bathroom door handle was a bit loose, the toilet seat is needed to be tightened, the garage having the clutter removed, the dining room chair was tightened, there are lights in the garage and outside so we will do a better job labeling what switch goes what light and the leaves around the outside firepit. With the snow, they focused more on the removal and did not take care of the leaves. For all of this, we apologize more than you know and will ensure everything is made right not just for you but for all future guests. Please allow us the opportunity to prove our passion to providing over the top accommodations. We appreciate you choosing our home and hope you liked the Christmas set up.
