From the moment you walk into the spacious open floor plan, you feel your worries melt away as you start your Seabatical! Perfectly situated in the East Gulf Beaches area, Seabatical is easy to get to and has no parking pass or check in so you can jump in and get started right away on your vacation.
Multiple families and large groups up to 12 will appreciate ample room to spread out between 5 spacious bedrooms perfectly situated on either side of the open living, dining and kitchen area. Each bedroom is filled with custom artwork themed to local destinations designed to inspire your group to enjoy all the island has to offer that is uniquely St. George. In the west wing, 3 en suite bedrooms feature king sized beds, walk-in closets and flat screen TVs meaning no one is arguing over who gets the master bedroom. The east wing features another large king sized bedroom and a charmingly whimsical room with two twins. Two twin size roll away beds allow two more to join the fun. All ages enjoy the one level living at Seabatcial. Who wants to mess with elevators or have to keep young ones away from stairs on a vacation?
The beach bunnies (and puppies) in your group will adore the short walk to the award winning uncrowded beaches of St. George. We've left some beach toys and games for you and beach rental gear is included in your stay so you spend less time packing and more time playing.
Seabatical features an equally short walk to a bird watching paradise, the Unit 4 Apalachicola National Estuarine Research Reserve. Kids will enjoy the abundance of hermit crabs and fiddler crabs to observe. A picnic table under two palm trees makes a great location for enjoying a snack as you watch the Herons walk through the bay catching fish.
Jump on a 3 minute bike ride or a 10 minute walk from Seabatical to "downtown" St George where you can enjoy a lighthouse tour, souvenir shopping or some seafood at the local restaurants. Grab some fish and shrimp from the seafood truck to take back to your fully stocked kitchen featuring everything you need to make an amazing dinner with fresh local seafood.
Seabtical's beautifully landscaped pool with waterfall has shade in the afternoon making it the place to unwind after your daily activities around the island. An outdoor shower and bathroom are available next to the pool so noone has to run upstairs and miss out on the fun. The pool also connects to a newly designed covered Recreation Room with an outdoor ping pong table and games such as Cornhole and KanJam.
The large wraparound porch is a perfect spot to sip a cocktail while you watch the kids play in the pool and enjoy the ocean view. The front of the house features another large porch with comfy furniture and shade. Spend the morning sipping coffee and watching the bikers and runners in your group enjoy the paved biking trail in front of the house that stretches across the entire island.
Everyone will enjoy the ample parking space, but those who love to fish will be ecstatic to learn that they can fit their boat trailer in the covered parking. A custom designed fish cleaning table and hose makes cleaning your catch easy.
Your furry friends get a great vacation too. Two large comfortable dog beds make sure that everyone gets a good nights sleep. The wraparound porch features gates that can be closed so you can relax knowing your pooches are safe and part of the party. A leash is your dog's passport to enjoying the entire island including the beach and wildlife estuary. Even the restaurants have places for your dogs to join you!
A week long stay is the best way to enjoy Seabatcial. Our Sunday turn day means you get to avoid the crowds driving in and out on Saturday.
