The house has air conditioning in the living/dinning rooms and fan's in the bedrooms.
It is in close proximity to Almond Beach and Port St Charles.
The property is fully furnished with a smart TV, fibre Internet, washing machine, bedding, towels and accessories.

Smoking is not permitted inside the property but is quite acceptable on the verandas.

What,no fans?

This is the 4th time staying at this apartment. I love this neighbourhood and the apartment itself has a lot of positives. It has had a bit of facelift since the last time we were here. however, there were 2 big negatives for me:1. No room fans. Ceiling fans in all the rooms but when the bed is directly underneath, you don't get any breeze.2. The bedding - a PLASTIC sheet on the mattress (and I understand you want to keep it as clean as possible, but it just added to the fact that the bedding was all polyester and it all made for uncomfortable nights and less sleep than I would have liked, but don't let it put you off. If you want a cheap place to stay in this area with everything you need, then this is it.....

On the west coast

When we arrived we were not able to get into the lockbox as we were given the wrong code. We were unable to reach the property manager and ended up calling the host n the UK to get a code. Property is in a great location, however, not what we expected inside. Apartment is dated and in need of updated linens, mattress, bed pillows, shower curtains and basic small kitchen appliances. Main living area and dining area were good. Bathrooms not so much…on the surface clean but really needs a deep clean. WiFi and cable were good.

1 night stay

We chose to stay in Douglas because of its convenient location near the beach. The owner was easily accessible and approachable, and we found the property with their help. We were also pleasantly welcomed by the cleaner. The property itself was kept clean, and the kitchen amenities were available for use. The washing machine was located outside. However, the bathroom was basic and unfortunately of poor quality. After a bit of searching, we managed to find plenty of towels.At night, the quality of sleep was poor due to noise from the neighbors and the water mattress, which wasn't comfortable. The pillows also left something to be desired.Overall, the best feature of the property is itslocation, with a short walk to the beach.

X-mas at Heywoods

We enjoyed our stay. We are repeat customers. The only criticism we have is the lack of cooking related items. We had to borrow a grater from a neighbour. Also should have more bowls and dishes.

Enjoyable stay

We stayed at this location for 16 days , September 4 - 20, 2024 we enjoyed the peacefulness of the community . This location is perfect because of the distance to speighstown and the beach. On the negative side, the lighting in the bathrooms are not good for shaving. I would recommend that the chairs in the living room be steamed between clients. Chairs are needed for the balcony. However, I would stay here again.

1st week March 2024 - Apartment A (top apartment)

Property internally is tired and in need of refreshing. Curtains in lounge don’t fit windows, cooker oven was not clean and smelt stale. Access through personnel gate was difficult through overgrown bushes and area at rear of property for access to washing line was again overgrown. When the bottom property was being used if they had showered before us in the morning there was no hot water left for us to shower in the morning (this must also have been the same for the downstairs occupants if we had showered first). On the plus side however the air conditioning and fans worked well and check in / check out was good. This property is very convenient for the beaches even if you don’t hire a car.

get away Barbados

The Property was nice and clean. all off the electric items work the property is near the beach you can walk. The person who look after the property was waiting on site for us on arrive. you can walk to the local town for shopping, and enjoy eating out at some for the local Restaurant, the local people are friendly. a nice location, you can get a bus into the bigger town centre or any way around the island from the bus stand. thank you

Wonderful stay!

What a great spot! Clean, comfy, close to beach. Really loved having coffee in morning and watching all the birds and monkeys! Excellent cable package for sports and movies and a great library with a good selection of books. I would definitely come back!

Great spot, lovely, spacious, clean

We loved staying here. The contact Gabriel is a treasure very helpful and easy to reach. Carried our bags upstairs!! Very well stocked re dishes and glasses/cups. Having 2 bathrooms was great, and the cabinets ) instead of just a mirro) was wonderful to have. We would definitely away here again.

Perfect Apartment

The apartment is in a very nice neighborhood. The beach is The beach is beautiful with lots of shade and not many people . We enjoyed the local restaurants, in particular De Sweet Pot located across from the bus terminal. Unfortunately our stay was cut short by a week and a half because of the Coronavirus.

Nice breezy spot away from the hustle and bustle.

We usually stay on the South Coast but decided to try the Speightstown area this time and we weren't disappointed. I was mildly concerned that there was A/C only in the living room, be we only used it 1 day of the 2 weeks we were here. The Apartment gets great breeze and is very comfortable. Everything we needed was here. The beach is a short walk away, as is Speightstown. Gabriel was helpful and checked in to make sure things were going smoothly. We had a minor issue with a fan in one of the bedrooms which was quickly resolved. The apartment is located in a quiet neighborhood, which was nice as I have children. There are a couple of chatty roosters in the neighborhood, but i didn't personally find it a bother. Overall I would recommend staying here 100%. Great location, amenities, and most of all value. Thanks to Paul, Gabriel, and Jan for helping to make this a memorable visit to Barbados.

Relaxing stay

We stayed at 89 Heywood Park for 10 days, enjoyed the peacefulness of the Neighbour hood, short walk to a nice quiet beach as well as Speightown, meals are reasonable priced at local restaurants in Speightown, always shopped at Jordan’s, good value for money, would consider staying again.

Low cost accommodation in a lovely area

Speightstown is a lovely part of Barbados, we enjoyed walking in to the little town, beautiful beaches, lovely places to eat and drink and not so busy as other places on the west coast, the apartment was quite basic and very clean and suited our needs the price was very good, Gabriel was very helpful and nothing was too much trouble, the apartment is in a residential area only 10 minutes easy walk from the beach and village shops, the bakery opposite The Orange Street Bakery ( also very good)is well worth a visit, Little Bristol beach bar does good food and has a good atmosphere,Jordons supermarket stocked most things you need and we also bought tuna and marlin from the fish market at a very good price. It was wonderful to see monkeys on our first morning on the telegraph wires in front of the apartment as well as hummingbirds, the only negative comment was the neighbourhood dogs constant barking.

Beau séjour

Nous avons apprécié notre séjour dans l'unité du haut en avril 2017. L'unité est très propre, cuisine très fonctionnelle il n'y manquait absolument rien. C'est un endroit calme dans un secteur résidentiel a 5-7 minutes a pied du terminal autobus. Donc les déplacements etaient très facile en autobus. Gabriel nous attendait come convenu et nous a suggéré quelques endroits a visiter.Très apprécié.
