Spectacular Oceanfront View Family Friendly Beach House.

The Second Sandbar offers a home away from home for up to 9 people. This recently updated home is full of life's simple pleasures: an unbeatable ocean view, an ocean access right across the street, dependable WIFI, *three Roku TVs, a fully equipped **kitchen, comfortable mattresses and linens, plush towels, an oversized washing machine and dryer, a second refrigerator, beach chairs and wagon, and an outside shower for rinsing off after a long day on the beach. The fourth bedroom has a built in desk and cabinets for those having to mix a bit of business with pleasure. The porch around the house invites drinking coffee at sunrise, lounging or reading in the afternoon shade, and gazing at weekly fireworks at night. There is a bus stop in front of the house for the free Island shuttle and restaurants and the Island's largest grocery store are within walking distances. We welcome pets (pet fee applied at booking), but please be courteous by keeping them off all furniture. Be sure to hose them off well (using our outdoor hose and/or shower) should they be sandy and wet from their frolics on the beach. And, don't forget to dry them off before they join you inside- thank you!
*The Smart TVs have access to all streaming channels. Renters must provide their own account/login information to access desired channels.
**The kitchen, master bedroom, and main living area are located on the 2nd floor.

This home could not have been more perfect for our family. It was exceptionally clean, comfortable, and well stocked. The location is amazing with the easy beach access and views, and walking distance to town and restaurants. The host was super responsive, and check-in and check-out were a breeze. This is the second time we stayed here. We enjoyed it just as much . It is very comfortable, clean. They made it very easy to access. Can’t beat the beach access and the view from the patio. South Padre Paradise

The house was even nicer than in the pictures and just across the street from the beach. Also liked that I was able to walk to Karma Coffee (a great cafe/bookstore) in the morning for coffee and great breakfast sandwiched. Highly recommended and I hope to be back!

Nice family vacation

Beautiful home right across the street from the beach. Easy to get to, close to restaurants, shopping, etc. You can tell the owners really put effort into making their guests’ stay special. The only unexpected thing for me was a somewhat busy street in-between the house and beach, however, it’s 25mph and everyone drives slow.

We had a group of seven, all adults and 1 fur baby! I was very pleased with the accommodations and location of house. Easy access to beach. Owner and property manager available for any needs. We would definitely stay here again! Loved the story of the house and the family that built it! That made it special and not just renting from a hotel chain. Thanks for sharing!

We enjoyed the stay. It was stress free. All the everyday things we use in a normal home were provided. Instructions on washer and other devices were clear and easy to understand. Beautiful getaway

This was an amazing home for me and my bridesmaids to celebrate the new year and also get ready for my wedding day. It was awesome to see the beach from the front porch and watch the fireworks, we also had an amazing full moon experience. We used the outdoor shower to wash our feet after walking back from the beach and just loved every second. Highly recommend!

Our family of 5 decided a beach Christmas would be great this year. We looked at lots of house listings and decided on The Second Sandbar. We were so glad we did! This house was so comfortable and welcoming. All the little touches throughout the house made us feel right at home. The location was amazing! We had easy access to the beach plus a beautiful view of the ocean from the upper balcony. The owners left an incredibly helpful “handbook” that gave us the inside scoop on what to do and where to eat throughout our stay. We made several meals in the well-equipped kitchen, and had a blast playing some of the available games. There were plenty of comfy beds for everyone and lots of space to spread out. This may be my favorite VRBO rental of all time!

Magnificent home!!!

This home was absolutely gorgeous and very well maintained!! They went out of their way to stock the slightest necessities for our 1-week stay! The house view was beautiful sitting on the front porch and such an easy access to the beach and everything else around. Communication with the owner and property manager was perfect. Excellent family vacation, Summer 2023

Wonderful, amazing, exceeded expectations. Convenient beach access, beautiful porch with views of the gulf, outdoor shower, garage access for storage, spacious well stocked kitchen and great room with views of the gulf, very comfortable beds, high quality appliances in the kitchen and laundry room. My family (all 2SB members) have vacationed in SPI for over 20 years and the Second Sandbar is the best property we have rented. We will definitely return !

AMAZING

We will definitely go back! From the day we booked, there was a great communication between the owner and the property manager. Once we arrived, Cindy was always available to help us. Our wiener dogs love to going on the beach! This house was stocked very well with everything we needed! Will definitely recommend to friends! Oh, and one more thing, I left two of my chargers in the bedroom, and Cindy was nice enough to ship them to me! Thank you!

Amazing!

Property was clean and well equipped, photos don’t do it justice. Located directly across the street from a beach access point so going back and forth was extremely easy. The outside shower made cleaning sand off a breeze. I can’t stress enough just how great the location of this property is. House was absolutely beautiful and it made for the best stay we’ve had on the island. Highly recommend staying here!

Fantastic Beach House

This house has it all! If you have a large family or group and want the best location and amenities on the Island, then this is the place. The house was spotless and well kept. The location is perfect for hitting the beach and getting to restaurants, stores, etc. There are beach supplies (Cart, boogie boards, chairs, etc) in the garage that you can use and return when done. You can tell that the owners have a lot of love for this house and want you to enjoy it as much as they do. We will absolutely be staying here again. The wrap around porch with a full view of the gulf was perfect for coffee in the mornings and cocktails in the evening. The whole experience was 5 star.

South Padre Second Sandbar

This lovely home has a deck that provides a beautiful view of the water and plenty of seating to enjoy time with family/friends. The owners are very accommodating and personable, and the local property manager is also responsive. We have stayed in many nice VRBO houses, and this home was the best-stocked with paper products, soap, immediate needs, etc. than any other. The home is also close to good restaurants, shops, and activities. We had a wonderful time.
