nice place to stay

location was great, view was fantastic, condo was very comfortable and had most things we needed. Unit included a washer and dryer which came in handy. We would definitely stay here again.

South Padre Trip

Great overall, BUT microwave quit working on day 2, dishwasher was falling apart and didn’t clean, even when dishes were rinsed clean going in and smoke detector was hanging from a wire on the ceiling. There were not enough bath towels so I had to wash too often. Playground was in terrible shape, kids were sad. Great decor, good kitchen supplies, comfy beds, all the guests we met at pool or beach were friendly. Perfect location so the only disappointment was broken appliances warranting a four star instead of five.

Consider this condo for sure!

The whole property is fantastic. Everything was clean and well kept the employees were all very kind and helpful. The entrance to the condo is right off the elevators which I thought was going to be totally annoying but it was very tolerable. There were 6 of us in our party and we all would stay there again.

Great Condo at Ocean Vista Towers

This is our 3rd time staying at Ocean Vista Towers, and Ocean Vista and this condo did not disappoint. We had a great family vacation here. Just as in the pictures the condo looked very nice and very modern. Kitchen was very well equipped and we did lots of cooking. Previous reviews complained about the sliding door, but this was not an issue. The big living room TV does still have a green vertical line running through it, but this was not a big deal when watching TV. Great views from the large 10th floor balcony. We enjoyed the boogie boards that were provided. Beach umbrellas were provided too, but they were a little beat up. We liked the stress free checkout procedure. No big list of things to do. Just "run the dishwasher if you can" and nothing else.

Needs a lot more than TLC, pick a different Ocean Vista Tower unit, many to choose from!

We LOVE this location. We have stayed at a few units at Ocean Vista Towers and absolutely love our beach vacations to this spot. My advice- book another unit in this complex, there are so many to choose from! Our family of 5 opted for a larger unit this time to allow our teen daughter some privacy rather than sharing bedrooms/bathrooms. This unit was a great size but it had too many negatives for us to return. Earlier reviewers say this unit needs TLC, they are being very polite and generous! It needs so much more. What it desperately needs is a REALLY good cleaning! The floors were mostly clean, however they looked super dirty and probably need replaced. Same goes for the stained up carpet in all the bedrooms. There was dust on a lot of the furniture, especially the entertainment center, enough that I could write "dust me" in the dust. The inside of the cabinets were gross, to include food and hair in in the kitchen cabinets. Many of the utensils cutlery was dirty. We washed EVERYTHING prior to use. The fridge was gross. Brown spots around the legs of the fridge where spilled food didn't get cleaned completely. Food smear on one of the walls that didn't get washed up from a previous visit. All the high touch surfaces were dirty. Just overall dirty! The insides of the bathroom drawers were also dirty, we just didn't use those. The sheets/bedding are, eh-okay, 2 star hotel quality. The beds were comfortable. Bring your own blankets if you like to sleep with them. The beds only have sheets. Towels were small and similar quality as bedding. No beach towels provided. We could have overlooked some of these things but our biggest complaint was the blinds. The master bedroom's east facing wall is one giant window. The blinds didn't work at all so we had the eastern rising sun blaring into the master ALL DAY LONG starting at a bright and early 6am! So forget sleeping in, it's HOT and Sunny. I called to complain about the master bedroom blinds multiple times. All calls go through a third party middle man which is super frustrating. No one came out to look at the blinds, I was just told they knew that they didn't work and they'll be fixed AFTER our visit! REALLY!?!?! They then told us they would compensate us for our inconvenience. Yesterday I received a measly credit equivalent to less than 1/4 of ONE night, we stayed 5, no explanation or apology. This credit was for waking up at sunrise with the HOT sun EVERY day, WOW!?!?! We will not be back!

Ocean Vista 1004

The Ocean Vista offers many amenities at the property, including a boardwalk directly from the property to the Gulf for the exclusive use of guests and residents. The pool area was clean and sparkling. Unit 1004 had everything we needed to be comfortable. The kitchen was very well supplied with dishes, pots, pans, skillets and utensils. The only thing missing were oven mitts! Besides not having a Kuerig coffee maker as shown in the photos, we had everything we needed. The bedrooms and bathrooms were comfortable and clean. We enjoyed the living area and large central table for doing puzzles and playing games. The balcony overlooked the Gulf, a beautiful view morning, noon and night. There was a wagon with beach supplies on the balcony for our use. We also made use of the washer and dryer in the unit. I was glad we brought our own beach towels because they were not included in the rental. (Not a problem for us, since we drove from Houston.). While on South Padre, we visited Sea Turtle Inc. and took a dolphin excursion with Osprey Cruises. Our party of adults and one first grader enjoyed them very much. We brought some of our own groceries from home and stopped at the HEB in Port Isabel before crossing the bridge. There is one grocery store on the island that we found. It had everything we needed too. We had not been to South Padre for 30 years, but having now visited and rented this unit, we definitely see ourselves returning.

Nice getaway!

Our place was nice with a great view of the beach We had a few minor issues but overall had a very relaxing time. We were able to temporarily forget about COVID when we were at the beach which was a definite plus.

Amazing views

Loved our time here. The condo was just like the pictures. Hassle free checkin. Owner thought of everything for you and beach supplies were a great help. Loved the updates to the space, very clean and ac was cold and felt great after coming in from beach. Hoping the few call outs others brought up prior to our arrival would of been addressed such as the sliding door, green tv line, and garbage disposal but these were minor and too many positives for us. Beach was never crowded, gated beach access was nice. Right on the beach with spectacular views and breezy nights on patio. Plenty of kitchenware for cooking. Condo is right in front of elevator and no issue at all with noise. Property had covered parking. Property is well maintained and quiet. The local’s restaurant recommendations did not disappoint. Other condos allowed pets, no issues. Enjoyed watching pets play on beach with their owners. Recommend this condo think about allowing pets. :) Would definitely stay here again! Convenient to the beach

We had a great time during our stay at the property. The home was perfectly set up for me and my 4 young children and our two friends. The view was spectacular and the convenience to the beach for quick and easy access could not have been better. The two back bedrooms were really dark for sleeping, the beds were comfortable and the condo was quiet for a multi unit complex. The home did have a few minor glitches but nothing too terrible. We could not get the living room tv to turn or get connected to the WIFI (which I didn’t mind all that much and I think the tv just remote needed new batteries). The back sliding door was extremely difficult to open and just annoying. And the master bedroom black out blinds were wanting to catch and break at every pull of the chain to bring it down. I feared that the whole thing was going to fall right off the wall so I just left the shades down the whole time. Previous to our stay I did read that other guests had the same difficulty with the door and shades so I was expecting that those would have been resolved. Lastly, the garbage disposal stopped working. We tried resetting it on the actual disposal and it made a sound and then turned right off again. I would highly recommend that the owners resolve those few concerns for the best reviews, but overall the home was well updated and worked nicely for our family.

Overall home was beautiful! Check in was a chore due to the key being in the wrong lock box and the box it was in we didn’t have the code We had to call and wait on hold for a while to speak to representative after just being in the road for 8 plus hours with little ones Home was not as clean as clean as one would expect floors were not mopped I could see actual feet prints on the tile when we walked in from where the sun hit the floor just right. We found MULTIPLE dirty dishes from cups to plates in the cabinets dried food on them - very disturbing. When it came to checkout The cleaning ladies came in the home 30 mins prior to checkout and walked in. We felt very rushed. Beautiful home overall Cleaning and check in and out weren’t to be desired Thanks, Mrs. Nosek

Best Condo in the Building

You have a covered parking and when you get off the elevator it's literally the first door. Super convenient. We had an incredible stay at this property. Since the property is managed by Vacasa, which from what I understand is VRBO's own management company, it was a very seamless experience as far as getting the gate code and check-in instructions. We didn't need to contact them during our stay because nothing went wrong. :-) The house was well equipped. The kitchen had a keurig and a drip maching, plenty of cookware, silverware, glassware and other stuff you'd want like pitchers, lemon/lime squeezers, cocktail shaker, etc. There were plenty of beach toys for kiddos including folding chairs and a pretty decent wagon to throw everything into and truck it onto the beach and back. It looks old and rusty but it actually did a great job of hauling our stuff to and from the beach and we just left it out in the hall outside our door until it was time to go and then I emptied the contents, sprayed everything down and left it on the balcony to dry for the cleaning crew. The large TV in the living room seems to have been hit at some point as it has a green line coming down on one pixel line, but it didn't really take away from the quality, especially because we weren't there to watch movies, mostly served for kid shows. They also have a Bose sound system...very nice. The balcony is great. Great view. From the beach, at night, with the interior and exterior lights on and curtains open..this condo looks like the best one around by far. Everything functioned well EXCEPT THE SLIDING GLASS DOOR. It needs a new track and probably just spray down with WD-40 for each guest would be enough but we didn't have any handy. Also the roll down drapes/curtains, whatever you call them are nice but in the master bedroom they have a tendency to get stuck and require someone tall enough to reach up there and brave enough to try and figure out how to fix it. It wasn't hard just had a large plastic bead that was getting stuck and I had to force it through to the other side of the channel to make it work. They do have 2 layers so it's pretty close to black-out in the early morning if you do it right. Very well decorated, very well kept. PLENTY OF STORAGE. There is storage everywhere. Very well organized. Overall this is a great property and worked well for 4 adults and 2 kids. It could easily handle 8 guests.

AWESOME property

Gorgeous views greeting us when we came through the door. Top notch appliances and everything one could need for a fantastic stay. Comfortable beds with blackout curtains made it wonderful to sleep in. Hot tub and pool were clean and just a few steps to the beach. Will be staying here again.

Christmas vacation

Very nice condo, plenty of room. Great views of the gulf. It would have been nice to have the property decorated for Christmas. Kids had a hard time handling Christmas without a tree and decorations.

Beautiful Modern Condo w/Fantastic Location

This condo was perfect for our beach getaway. Our group consisted of two families with five kids (8 and under). We had plenty of space for everyone to eat, sleep, shower, etc. The kids loved sharing the room with bunk beds, and we appreciated all the closet, bathroom and pantry storage, and the modern renovations throughout. The building facilities are great too! There’s a hot tub, heated kiddie pool, and big pool, plus playground and tennis court all within the gated area. The boardwalk is just beyond that and takes you right to the beach. When the kids got sick of playing in the sand, it was an easy walk up to the pools. Or if someone needed a nap or got hungry, we could easily run back up to the condo. The building is in a great location, a little quieter and more family friendly than other parts of SPI. This is our second time staying at Ocean Vista but this condo was so much nicer than the last one we stayed in...we’d definitely stay here again!

great weekend getaway

Really enjoyed the condo and all the amenities. The view was spectacular! We will definitely return! I do have some feedback to share: -in communication with you I was told there were no beach chairs or toys at the condo and in fact there were- would be nice to include this in the informational PDF you send to the renter -an extra roll of paper towel and some napkins would have been useful to have in the condo as well as extra dish towels. -we ran the dishwasher and it started leaking/bubbling from out of the bottom -the tv in the family room has a green line running vertically thru it when turned on thank you!

Great View and clean.

Everything was easy. Property actually has more than what’s listed with things like covered parking etc...Very roomy and very clean. I dislike that the nightly rate is DOUBLED with fees. Seems this is a rental property tactic gone rogue. Having said that just get to price and decide but plan on double what the nightly cost is....I GAVE 5 STAR AND WILL RENT AGAIN. GREAT FAMILY VACATION.
