«The lodge is located in a very remote location, despite of getting groceries are so inconvenient, Blake showed great generosity and hospitality to all the guests, make us feel like staying in an old friend's house.
Kitchen, bathroom, and bed linen are of 5-stars clean. If you're planning to go on the Hump Ridge Track, choose Rarakau Lodge for your pre-departure accommodation is definitely the best option. »

«We had a very good stay in a comfortable room and bed. We really liked the afternoon tea and drinks in the library upstairs as it brought guests together and made for a very pleasant evening. We were in the Bishops Retreat and thoroughly enjoyed the dressing up. A fun stay. Thank you »

«Had a lovely stay, cottage was really clean and comfortable with lovely view of the snow capped mountains.
Very friendly staff that clean every day.
Totally recommend visiting Lake Matheson and going to the Glacier lookout.
Also had a lovely walk from the carpark over the bridge.

«Te Mahuru is a most exceptional, beautiful, very clean and overall, a perfect place to stay. Jen went out of her way to be accommodating and we give thanks t the highest rating possible. The gardens and views were spectacular, the hot tubs were lovely and very clean and the breakfast was delicious. Homemade bread each morning and plenty of great choices. The patio off our room was very private and comfortable for sitting with a cup of tea gazing at the beautiful mountains in the background. ...

«Clean , comfortable , spacious. Comfortable bed . Heater was appreciated on a damp day and the bedding options were good. Recommend for an overnight stay. Local cafe was good for evening dinner - nothing fancy but beautifully cooked. »
